Can someone explain the deifferent ways to identify what sound card is in a machine without opening it up. I tried a couple of ways but cant identify which type, if its onboard etc. nd im deperate for tunes at work.

well to see if its onboard just at a glance, you could look at the back of the box and see where the imputs are comming out of.
