View Full Version : [BRAINPORT] Gaya Glove Image
In my other thread, Trading Reminder Of The Day (http://neocron.jafc.de/showthread.php?t=115559), someone attempted to pull a fast one on me because the Gaya Tacholytium Glove (http://nc.synergyxr.net/iteminfo.php?item_id=1051) and the regular PSI Glove use the same image. The only current difference is the text "PSI" on the PSI Glove, where the Gaya Glove has no text.
Since Crahn's default map color is purple, I propose this:

With perhaps the text "GAYA" or "TACH" on it.

This would be something extremely easy to implement, and would save a lot of people from the grief play that so many people are inclined to commit.
I think thats a sweet idea. Having different colours for everything (i.e. like the NLPro belts etc) makes things easier to recognise on first glance.
Okay FN i took your idea to the next level.. how about a two tone glove.. thts dif to all the coloured gloves like this:

I'm all for an insanely intricate, more than just using a Photoshop Hue Adjustment, typed image for ANYTHING :)
I wish KK would accept user submissions for items like this, tell us what format (tif, bmp, etc) and what specs, then be able to submit them signing some waiver saying "I'm surrendering this image and ownership to you, I don't care about credit, just USE IT!" :(

I'd rather the different glove, belts, implants, armours... all had entirely different graphics. And different sound effects when you put them on. Each implant would have a different clicking into place/powering up sound, heavier armour makes metallic clinking sounds as it slides on... I'd rather have KK do stuff like that than... whatever it is they're doing right now.

you mean unique skin, settings, sounds, values for every item..

we'd need a picture with larger dimensions to even attempt to attempt (that was intentional, yes) to put the crahn logo on. this pic is just too damn small.

I was just takin a break and figured I'd put these together, it's just the ingame model turned and tweaked a bit. Err, and before you ask. I don't have much to do with getting player stuff ingame. Your best bet at the moment is to just keep doing threads like this.

I was being serious.. well not about the 5 gb, but I´m sure there would come a lot of great new things ingame if people that had a little time to look at and evaluate the items that are being proprosed for the game, and could send the interesting or simply brilliant ideas and could either be responsible for sending the items that has to get ingame to the people that smacks the patches together, or atleast passes on the ideas with high potential, to a crackteam of creative individuals that could re-develope the idea to suit the gameplay and/or storyline.
Okay Lupus I like yours a fair bit.. but its lost quality through being re-sized

ya know spermy i really like the first transition one you posted, with the blue and purple. it looks awesome.
Well I think it looks INSANELY pretty - But it doesn't suit neocron at all.
I figure maybe a red to purple or red to orange might look nice.

Still look nicey nicey - they kinda need to look dull to fit in with neocron though.

well i figured i'd try and slightly expand on my other one:
still the same red finger, but the other fingers are 2-toned, the ends being darker and rest being lighter. also, the Crahn logo on the main section of the glove.

Was bored - Heres a Libby and a wyatt - It's amazing how a simple change of colour makes all the difference eh? :cool: The Malediction looks okay - shoulda skipped the blue trim on the front tho - Never was too fond of the CS - too dark - and not too sure about the moony - just reckoned it was in keeping with the fellas company (the pilot of the ship)
Very slightly purplish with a small crahn logo in the corner, what more could you possible wish from it's icon?

i prefer one that is just slightly differnet. maybe alittle darker & tinted blue

there still isn't enough contrast between the two unfortunately. if you weren't looking at them side by side you might mistake the slightly darker one for a normal glove, or vice versa.

thats why i tinted it blue. i run my mon @ normal gamma, and contrast and it seems fine to me tbh. but i guess everyones displays are different.
I think it should look drastically different. After all, it's an epic item - It should look special - and easily noticable. Not just a colour tint or a change of colour or whatever. Rares should look different too - I'm not saying it's a big deal - I'm just saying that it's so,ething worth looking into when they've sorted stuff out y'know?
Or even better letting the community submit ideas - and using them - like using one the ideas here.
