Sorry this is a bit late, PCZ dropped through my letterbox yesterday, but only found out how to tie my NC2 account and forum account together a few hours ago. Anyway.

They go on about 'um yeah pwns pwns pwns'..... ummm.... 'Out-creeps Doom 3, out-blasts Call of Duty, bigger fire fights than in Max Payne... yadda yadda yadda......

Ups

Great storyline, script and characters
Wonderful use of physics
Excellent, powerful weapons
Fantastic sence of pacing with huge variety of action


Downs

AI occasionally fails to impress


-quite possibly the best action game ever made

bugger, 2200 athlon, 768mb ram and a dx9 card :D 1300 odd 3D mark 2005 points :D

I remember half life 1, i had 2 hard drives, like 540 each, had to clear a whole hard drive to install the game, them were the days :)

Pfft, it was meant as a joke. That said I believe PCZ ships internationally, for a price :)

If I see a copy in the shops I'll grab it and scan it on.

Hmm with 97 rating I guess it not THAT bad afterall, but I did get some big eyes when I saw that ;P
So when is HL2 coming out now? (boxed version) Can ANYONE give me the date? Yes I am to lazy to search for myself :o

toss down some cash on a plane ticket, go buy the magazine in the uk return to your home. Errr, then again... maybe not

Turns out my scanner is 40 miles away at my parents place.

PC Gamer gave it 96%.

I preordered and gave CS:S a whirl. It's pretty, and very true to the original, but for me that's a bad thing. I played CS for three years...CS:S has nothing new to offer. Slightly ironic really; I hated TFC cos it wasn't true to the original, and dislike CS:S cos it is :D Silly valve, third try lucky.

Far Cry was ok, but there wasn't much going in terms of variation or plot.

Doom3 has the prettiest engine I've ever seen in an FPS, but the gameplay...so 90's. I was bored after about an hour (and having talked to several people about it, it seems like I stuck at it longer than most).

HL2 wouldn't have to be all that great to be better, and from every review I've seen so far it is great. I'm getting quite excited now :D
