Hey i thought id make a TS server for public use for neocron. I know alot of clans have their own server and their own vent server but i wasnt sure if anyone had made a general neocron server :O Well i have made one :)

Please come on for all purpose nc2 chat :D And if anyone could comment on if i have done good or bad thatd be cool :D There is also a sectoion on the server where people can make clan channels if they havnt got their own TS or Vent server :D

Nice that you are offering TS, rooms for clans who don't have a server.
But I doubt everyone will be there couse still alot of clans have their own Teamspeak and only wanna talk whit their mates.

I am not expecting everyone and im not expecting alot. I just thought id put it there to offer it to ppl. In the server there is a hunting channel, neo frag channel, guild channel section. Channels for people doing each Epic. and if i get someone who knows alot about neocron on the server ill make a Nc2 Help channel so anyone having trouble in game can ask him/her :D Its just a place to hang out for anyone not in a clan or for anyone who just wants to hang out and talk to other citizens of Neocron or Dome of York :D

edit: hmm...someone got SA, kicked all, revoked all rights, then banned, then server died...what just happened.

Alright server is all sorted out. Im back as SA and the dick who ip banned me will not be a SA again:D And Speed u wont be either for giving him SA in the first place.

Atm, cos i started it yesterday, intotal about mebe 10 diff ppl been on (not at once) Im hoping more people will join.
most likely meh clan uses vent ....but yeh its a good idea ...especially if it gets use

ATTN: is your clan looking for a teamspeak server? Or do you maybe just wanna chat with people from your server? Then log onto Murder Elf's public TS server. Contact myself or Murder Elf (AKA Digi on teamspeak) for channel setups and channel admins , etc.

I got a 24/7 Server up for anyone who needs a clan server.
Connection is OC baesed on a USA backbone but euro players seem to ping fine to it the server is verry fast. I think at one time we managed over 700 users without any problems.
Can create channels as needed can also password them and give admin to whoever needs it.
Server currently is hosting about 55 clans so its pretty big.
Just send me a PM and I can set things up for you.
Also if you do have access to server off me please try not to spam other channels and annoy others on there rules are pretty simple.

btw the server only gets turned off if important stuff needs to be done. Soon i will be getting another TS server that can be left on and prolly 24/7 so gimme some time to sort that out.

Wrong. The guy who runs it does not know how much running the TS server affects the other users of that computer or that network.
His bro seems to turn it off whenever he feels the TS infringes on his use of said computer, which is very rarely.
By the way, I use said computer ;)

People who use TeamSpeak are just people who have not yet tried Ventrilo.
If you try Ventrilo, there is no possible reason you could use TeamSpeak.
Better bandwidth, better functions, better sound quality by far!
btw if you wanna try a Neocron2 ventrilo server info see www.neocron2.org
Ventrilo sucks, sound quality is ruined, no proper codec selection, sucky layout, sucky developers, my old clan used it!

i used both ventrillo and TS and the only problem i have with vent is a little annoying layout and messes up with soundblaster cards randomly becouse of windows. but vent in my experiance is clearer and is easier on servers. i have no problem with teamspeak though.

Teamspeak can be setup to work just as good as ventrilo. And teamspeak has a lot of choices and a nice admin infrastructure that makes it a good choice for bigger VOIP servers.
Well if you guys all wanna go on a Vent server I could probably set one up on the same computer. However I have been unable to aquire the free Ventrilo server software so until then you will have to make do with TS.
Don't slag Murder Elf off for setting up the TS server, you are lucky he is even doing it at all. I have used both Vent and TS for a long time, and personally if you know how to set it up and tweak the settings they are practically identical.

sometimes it is hard yeh.
ppl have told meh codecs can fix it...but i dun know jack about codecs...dunno if teh codecs belong on teh server or teh client
TS can handle more ppl than vent htough......

Mebe if i ask :P Mods can you make this a sticky cos its a service for the entire neocron and doy citezens to use! Im trying to help. And with BunkerBoy helping me admin and Naim making meh graphics ^.^ we could use a sticky so people can join and see all teh work we have done for em :)
