hi guys any suggestions? I'm after something like the jeantech butterfly v.02 case but with a window and maybe a lil more colourful. Any one got this case? if so is it any good? looks quite nifty to work with

i leave it on 24/7 :p my room is always nice and blue.. tho some of the coolers were more blue when i put them in an age ago but the 2 30cm CCFL's keep nice and blue :p
last week i bought a 256 MB USB stick.. and gues what.. it lights up blue when its in the pc.. its made to match !
how about one of them blue LCD Temp reading things, whack it on the front it tells you CPU temp, mobo temp, ram temp, hard drive space/full and all that jazz, and its in blue!
Also, how about a water cooling system, and into the water you stick some anti-scale stuff which is coloured blue, that would look mint too.
Nah, he'll want to put some UV reactive dye thingamobs in the water, along with a UV light, so the water GLOWS a pretty colour.
that works better than my idea, glow in the dark, or glow in the UV water! and you can test for fake fivers with it too!

don't need water cooling system is perfectly ok..
and yes the front thing is blue AND controll's all the coolers in my comp. 2 in the back on 1 side on 1 CPU on 1 and the cooler front the front temp thing ( Coolermaster AEROGATE II btw ) shows all temps and RPM speeds for the coolers :p
you have a water cooler to look cool, not to cool your computer down, that and apparently it will chill your CPU by about 10c which is nice

water cooling takes to much room in a normal pc.. and it needs the water keeping thing ( forgot t3h name atm :p ) to be at the outside.. and it needs to much tubes running trough your comp and then outside again..
just like you then lexxy :p
I have a plain old vanilla case thats about 3 or 4 years old now, really should get it upgraded to one of these new fangled cases with holes in the sides and flashy lights and stuff, and I will... one day, honest :angel:

when i was reffering the tubes and stuff to you lexxy i din't meen your case :lol: anyhow.. why do expensive water cooling if normal cooling runs great ? OCed my 2200+ to a 2800+ without a problem running stable as ever.

well, ya, they in theory can cool down the CPU to the temp of the water, your right and thats something I hadnt thought about before <3, mines at about 46c atm, room temp avg is 25c? damn thats cool :D
@ Killer - I have no pipes, they took them out, but not before I managed to spill lung juice in the back seat of the car outside KFC, its sticky stuff, really sticky stuff and the back of my trousers were all wet from it :(

hmm the xazia III (thermaltake one... dunno if i spelt xazia right o_O ) seems a lil too agresive tbh... i like the sleak elegant design... as for cutting a window myself i never thought of that... is it hard to do? easy to fuck up? i can be a bit of a tard sometimes :p... i'll take a piccy of my current system in a sec... it's ok... but a lil over the top i wanna tone it down a notch ;)

The Raidmax one is big enough for me, its got 5 5.25, 2 3.5 and 3 HDD bays, enough room for my CD-RW, DVD, Equaliser, then 2 spare for other stuff, and I use two hard drives but would have room for 1 more for when my pr0n collection gets outta control ;)
Personally I prefer simple, stylish. contemporary cases, such as the cm stacker, most Lian Li cases, the new silverstone case etc. Personally I don't see the point of paying out for a plastic pos case just because it looks purdy... when really it looks like a gaudy pile of shit.

You can buy a window for the cm stacker... you could always have a look at cm's other ranges if that doesn't float your boat, they're all pretty nice looking (apart from that horrible wavemaster) and I'm sure that you could get window kits for a lot of them. As you can tell though I'm pretty stricken with the cm stacker... hmmmmmmmmmmm

The butterfly case was too rounded, too colourful and too plastic for my taste tbh.

Ah, I only saw the blue one when I looked it up... it does seem too... rounded for me too... I personally dislike curves in furniture (and cases are essentially furniture), I just prefer straight simple lines. But, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that.
Brushed aluminium > all tbh... that or black (like the second case down or a darker black case (like so: He who joyfully marches in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would suffice.

mmm well i like coolermaster the best. a coolermaster wavemaster is friggin nice. think aluminum with a massive fan area on the back and it has a great look. its one of the best quality cases i have ever seen. i mean the front panel that opens up has weak magnests not clips. it has a panel for headphones and usb on the top. it all feels high quality and the front bays arnt aluminum cutouts. they are real aluminum inserts. i would recomend one of those babys.

The wavemaster is far, far too curvy for anyone with tastes even remotely similar to mine tbh, and the cooling is just... bad... 3 80mm fans... personally I would never use anything but a couple 120mm fans now days, the difference in noise is incredible. As long as you buy a case from a good manufacturer now days you're pretty much guaranteed good construction, USB and audio plugs near the front, and all sorts of fancy things, so that's a mute point tbh.
To me them cases look like the should have a little pilot light at the bottom and a switch to turn on the gas O_o they look like heaters
They look better than a bunch of moulded plastic :p
Better cooling as well ;)

OK after viewing this thread, i seriously have to go and buy a Xaser case 2morrow...believe me you, you dont want to see my current case (all traces of plastic removed apart from the power and leds, no front part thingie that covers the drives, no sides, the case parts are getting dislodged somehow and i cant get my gfx card to fit properly...)
And the worst part is, that if i buy the case, i cant see myself being able to afford to pay my CC this month...but what the heck, thats what ccs are for, right?

actually tbh the hottest star trek chick was the one who played Kes. she was always so blandly nice... you just wanted to corrupt her! then there was the episode where she was possessed by some alien, and acting... well just plain BEING sexy... THAT was hawt. she was wearing leather in that episode too as i recall.
but to reiterate my earlier point... anodized aluminum, nice even square like, smooth surface, lovely silver colour, and solid build > wacky looking cases with cheap plastic bezels and panels made by andy warhole or something ANY day.

The situation inside the case has improved a lot as well since the pics where taken. Ive added rounded ide cables and managed to get the powercables arranged a bit. Now i just need a new psu (250W just dont cut it :P).
