I was just curious if anyone in the US had a better ping than like 150... I haven't played the game for a while but I thought I remembered my ping being better than that on NC 1...

Over in Georgia. I'm getting 120-ish on average (just took a run from the dome to NC).

Though when I did it it was w/ server pop @ 25% and well... you just don't encounter that many people in the wasteland :lol:

I'm getting 125 to 135ms, now....

In NC1 I was getting 175 to 185ms...

neocron is the only game i get bad ping on 120-6000. 6k being sundays.all other games 30ping avge.

NC is client side based not server.

In essence the higher a stable and playable ping you have, the more of an advantage you have as the player will stay on your screen longer for you to spam it :)

why does only one person say their connection type?

im not US but in doy beta (i havent upgraded retail yet) i got about 40-60 ping on DSL in UK

yeh high ping is actually an advantage if anything :P

it can be... if your high ping shows then leaving your LoS later you get more shotx in (que Holy Lightning vs stealth arguement... hitting after stealth is applied), but if its you thats escaping with a high ping you wont registar as undercover as quick on other peoples screens :p

tbh i tend to find jerky high ping people easier to hit... but when im slowed in a fight (no legs etc) i hit others way better... so it depends

I get about 185-210 on my school's connection in southern california. But back home in northern california I get about 170 pretty steady on cable. Back home my friend has a router or something that has a packet prioritizing feature. Any traffic from Neocron gets top priority so our pings tend to be 170 most of the time.

Still fucked up compared to the people with pings of less than 50 in Europe.

200ms avarage in canada, but i think its because of my really bad 700MHz laptop :D

NC1 and NC2 are the same for me. One DSL line gets between 100 and 120ms, the other between 120 and 130ms. I'm near NYC, though.

30 - 1000 .... varies, averages at 200 - 300 i think

i seem to have fixed the gfx problems iv been haveing with the game. i get about 80 - 130 ping and 76 - 90 FPS runing through the wast lands.

They have download links from file mirrors. Those will work better for you then bittorrent.

ct (east coast usa) 90 ping avg, 110 max. comcast cable last time i testest it was like 5meg down, 500k up.

1mb DSL in the UK = NC 1 and 2 I get around 75-100 ping.
