The NC2 launcher is part of the Neocron 2 Client. Why do you want to just download the launcher?

there was a web link where u could trasnfer ur chars without the client - thats what i need - the client takes to long to DL so i wait fr the CD in the magazine

http://launcher.neocron.com/ appears to be the launcher site. Whether it'll work fully outside of the launcher or not I don't know.

Haven't you got any friends with a fast net connection who can dowload the client for you. It'll fit on 3 CDs.

if you've upgraded your acc. from nc1 to nc2 (and started paying for it), then you dont need the launcher to transfer your characters. Just goto http://cp.neocron.com -> Your Account then log in. You'll be taken to a screen where there's a link to a place where u can transfer your NC1 chars to the server of ur choice in NC2.
