Is anyone else here a little worried about the WoC skills? I mean I know they're in and everything, thats no what I'm worried about... what I mean is that from what I've been hearing they are basically my worst nightmare, go find a relatively rare mob which has an incredibly low chance of dropping something that'll help you on your way to getting WoC skills?

Sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick but it just sounds like an addition to the leveling treadmill which is going to be necessary to take part in PvP. :(
And it looks like a PPU is a requirment to gain WoC skills...................
I was under the impression that WoC skills and items were just something cool you could have, not an advantage in PvP. If they are an advantage in PvP then that is just fucked up.

And if that's true, us characters who CAN'T have PPU support are once again shafted. Next they'll tell me that it needs indoor combat, which thanks to their hideously specialisation-yay system, I can't do. Woo.

Well - It's a bit of a thinky.
You need discs. You need PPU support. You need discs. Uh... you need discs.
To get the discs you need to hunt a lot.
Clans.
One person is on a woc quest, takes his clan along - lvling XP for the clan - PPU support - and easier to obtain discs in some sort of quantity. Not sure how the discs work, but spend a night doing it - and whack the spares in a cab for the next clanny who wants in on the WOC.
Also as a PVP point - anyone with a better skillset than you is at an advantage - saying nerf WOC for PVP is like saying nerf levels. :wtf:
Sounds like another big timesink that you can get through with the right team and a long night.
Just hope they don't do a rollback the next day because of some "new hardware" glitch...

You can stamp on a construction grease canister - till it's flat and write ceres on it. It's not like NPCs can tell the difference. I mean - you can sex them all day long and they don't complain...
Isn't the ceres mob a hoverbomber like mob? Doesn't this meen melee people do not have access to this?

The only thing I am really concerned about is how WoC skills will affect the allready fucked up balance.
Skills like ' All cast times halved' or whatever, could be messy.
from the info i have infront of me its weapons and armour stuff like that

Woc better be combat based and not some RP crap.....i dont want the flowers of crahn as a WoC skill
It should be PvP based, but should not become a necessity to PvP. For example you could have dual wield pistols, however its more of a different style of combat, rather than just being plain better than single wield.
no it should increase PvP effectiveness(just not by loads....) If dual combat upped damage 20% over normal weild but could only weild TL 100 or under that would work i think
The problem is that then WoC is basically just an extra addition to the leveling treadmill, rather than extra content. If that is the case then they might as well have just upped the skill cap and been straight with us about what they were doing.
I'm tempted to not upgrade my account until I find out more info on the WoC skills.

I see that WoC item list was ripped straight from the game's files :rolleyes:
And for those who have issues with the stuff listed. I don't believe the list is complete yet, and that list doesn't show what is for what class. There is groups of items aimed towards the different classes.

A simple request, make some of them low STR/DEX/INT/whatever. Obviously not really PvP-worthy, but at least give those of us stuck with crap-all (cheers, specialisation) some decent toys to play with. I mean, you have to go through a huge quest for them, so it's not like it'll overpower mid-level people at all.

Well, judge, remember when I (and others) suggested that KK add special effects to the unique items to make them really stand out? You know, like the chaos flameavalanche becoming a triple-shot fireball? or the energy soulblade have whirling white blobs around the blade? And a special nailgun? Remember that?
They did no-fuck-thin-shiting.
Instead, the mob uniques are just so fucking prosaic, and now with the spell range uber-nerf, the chaos flameavalanche lost the only thing it had going for it!!!

I want the Ceres Compass of Confusedness where locations in the West move to the North (DoY) and those in the North move to the West (Ceres).
Apparently it can also make radioactive territory, large valleys and icy tundra mystically disappear but that may be a vicious rumour.

Speaking of WoC, WTF!? Since when do you have to have done an epic before being able to do anything for WoC? I thought this was something to do with being Capped, not doing epics.

Well it apparently is, seeing as how he wants me to do an epic before doing anything about WOC :rolleyes: Hopefully the NEXT epic is still doable with an LE, I'll leave BD temporarily to do the NEXT epic then come back to BD and try WOC again. Going to be expensive as hell and extremely time wasting, but ah well.
Anyways, if I do get my other account transfered, I'm thinking I'll delete Sorin. No one wants to PPU for him. It's sad, everyone wants to PPU my Rifle Spy, but no one wants to touch my APU :( I've leveled him to about 4/5 of the way to cap solo, but its going too slow now :(
