We are looking for community members kind enough to provide mirrors for the download of the Neocron 2 client. The client is about 1.6 GB in size, please do not try to host it if you can't handle a lot of traffic.

The 'servers' that they have give seemingly random file sizes, I've had, 130, 80 and 50 mb.

where you downloading from guys i got no problems first one so far is 386mb at 30k a secr and the second is 301mb of 648 at 28.7 and no probs so far there are mirrors on the xtreme site cant rember the link the first one works best

the first download stopped when I downloaded 1/100th of part 1

For Both Parts Click the Middle Link and Refresh till Page gives you the option to save he Files, The files Will be Correct size and will Download at reasonable Speeds !!!!

I have 38% of the 1st one from the last link (filefront)
Then i kept refreshing the second link and finally got it (extremeplayers) and that file is at 7%...

The first one is dling at 130kb/sec and the second at 70kb/sec.

Now I dunno if they are messed up or anything but at least it is "possible" to dl both of the parts.

The 3rd link however definatly does NOT have the second part of the zip.

I will know in 2 or 3 hours if the zips are ok or not.

I got them from the Extreme-players.de link (in the middle). Watch the filesizes, the first file should be about 936MB and the second about 678MB. The filefront.com links are totally screwed up.

edit: I got about 130KB/s on both downloads from the US.

OK I got NC2 installed and patched up to ver.103

The top dl mirror seemed to be the best...I had to dl from each of them after all..

The middle one is ok but very slow

And the bottom "filefront" one is borked .. I dled both parts from there earlier and the first part wouldnt unzip a mag said the archive was no good and the size of the dl was 680 or something like that when it should have been 900+

I then tried the middle one and it seemed to have the right size but was very slow so I clicked the top one and got the dl immeadiatly...I dled both parts from there and after wards installed them...
Only wierd thing from install was the exe for the install was with part 2 but then you had to direct it to wherever the files from part 1 were at.
(the msg was that standard one about now insert dick 1 etc)...But I am a computer idiot so if I got it installed anyone can.

Both links work, you just need to try several times, until the connection with ftp is established. Paste that link into your favourite ftp client (eg BulletProof FTP) and d/l the files :D

EDIT: OMG... I just tried out what would happen if I typed in a random username and pass (to see if I had the same problem as with NC1+beta on this machine) and it fucking crashed like it did before. Dont download from filefront. It tells different sizes on the files all the time.
I havent got the right filesize from that site yet.

Try the 2 other links, if you can get them to download, they have the right files.
Just keep refreshing the pages if you get errors. I had to do that a lot of times, but finally I am downloading :-)

If you get that error when trying to extract the files from part 1, you probably got it from FileFront. Did you? Their downloads are corrupt; they're missing a couple hundred MB. Check to make sure your part one is somewhere in the vicinity of 960MB. Do NOT use FileFront.

its not done by KK the client was taken of the german DVDs and then hosted on the web site. KK will have their own servers for downloading the game later

Seems to be working.

However, remember one thing people... These aren't official files (afaik, only supposedly copied from a Magazine's DVD). Until KK releases a md5 sum of the files inside, there is no way you can see if they've been tampered with. It's quite easy to inject trojans in an exe file.
I know this might sound paranoid, but it has gotten me this far without any trojans or spyware whatsoever.
I aborted my downloads.
