Neocron1 Closing?

Therefore we have decided give you more time to prepare your characters for the transfer to Neocron 2 and will only shut down the servers at midnight (CEST) in the night from Monday to Tuesday.

I seem to be in the dark here. Is "Neocron 1" going to be permanently closed shortly after NC2 goes retail?

The current nc1 server is closing, a backup of your characters on there will be made, and you can then choose to transfer it to the NC2 servers or the NC classic (nc1) server

Then its also important for you to know that the same rules for transferring a character from NC1 to NC2 apply for a character transferring from NC1 to NC Classic.

That means even if you're staying in NC1 you lose your clan membership, apartments, vehicles, credits, epics, kamis, and inventory besides your quickbelt, armor, and implanted implants. So be sure to prepare your character for the transfer, even if you plan on sticking around for NC1.
