I use real email, with POP3 and outlook, it has built in anti-spam and anti-virus, and can also be accessed via the Interweb, or via a mobile phone :p

First of all, hotmail is on 2mb if you don't PAY
Second, I use 500mb of my GMail now, everything legal,
they send my working projects there, my dressmaker sends her patterns to me, the guy recording all shit from the band sends his files there, I also get my own videorecordings of other musicians there to fix up for them...
Some of us actually do stuff on the net you know
Also: No spam, the spamcontrol works like a charm

this was tested when trying to mail the open beta of NC2 through GMail..

Well it might have to do with where you live ^^ tbh not many people in the UK would pay for extra storage we get ripped off with enough things allready

Want to know whats so good about Gmail?

go to http://gmail.google.com/support, I am sure there is details there.

That said, the 1GB is the least best thing about it, and I mean that in a positive way. The speed and features make it 1000 times better then any other mail software out there.

Also some nice features being added. For example in Linux you can mount your mailbox as a drive and copy stuff to and from it.
