It's definitly an English thing, I wouldn't expect an American to understand as much as us Brits to understand Grits.

I only recently had a friend from Essex fully explain the requirements met to become a Chav :D

Didn't think it was that great.

That said I hate chavs/townies, these dregs of society and shame the rest of human existance by being allowed to procreate.

I want to move to inner london when I get older, because it's one of the few places where they can't affrd to go/live in.

You would be suprised.
Chav manages to get a job, chav is now earning £10k a year, chav has a considerable disposable income (even larger when living with parent, which is likely).
