View Full Version : why is my card scoring so low?

wondering if anyone knows why my 5900xt is scoring so terrable. i am using hte newest nvidia drivers and dont have anything overclocked. agp x8 is on and the drivers are set to performance. im trying to figure out why my card gets as low as 10FPS in wings of furry on marks 03. any help would be great.

cpu? memory? Havin a shit hot GPU and a P100 (with MMX) = bad scores, same with memory, usin slow memory will slow stuff down, I'm usin 5303 btw, newer ones screwed up other games

Its because of the G**force (no offence to anyone) card you are using. No one who wants to have a good comp should never touch Nvidia cards.

And here starts the ATI > nVidia flame wars! But yea like Lexxuk said, list the stats of your computer, try doing maintenance like defrag and stuff(It might not help a lot but every bit counts).

By the way we all know ATI rules ;)

Hihi.. yeah its well known that DX9 and Geforce FX cards dont go well to gether :)

well my cable wasent attached. like the power cable. i thought i hooked it up but no. anyways it gets about 4200 in 3d marks 03. i unlock the overclocking took with some registry editing then i auto detect what it sohuld overclock to. expecting to see some major overclocking becouse its why i bought this card. anyways it says this

CORE: 386
MEM: 694

for everyone who dousent know the core is 390 stock and the mem is 700 stock. i wanted to clock it to 475, 930 or so. im very disapointed. i went through so much trouble getting this. after waiting a month and a half and getting some friggin extra costs for shipping it over the boarder i get a 300$ (cdn) for a card only 1000 points better then my now 130$ radeon 9600. i loved my geforce 2 mx. i loved my geforce 3 ti. but this card is a real POS. maybe its just becouse it was made by apollo. i couldent find a single review for the apollo 5900 and now i know why.

i'll probably go for a 5700 mehself, not as powerful at the 59, but its still dx9 and faster than my 440mx which is past its use by date :(

id go for a Radeon 9600 pro as they are faster @ DX9 :) but thats me

mmm well my bro just bought 2 9500 cards and softmodded them both to 5700 pro's. they get 4600 or so on 3dmarks 03 and thats not with the omega drivers or overclocked and they are friggin cheap. as long as you know how to look for them. and ive decided im selling my computer to buy a better one since i now have a possably working 64 bit sitting around.

naturally, and pixel shader 3.0, requires directx 9c to work properly :p

like I got a tube stuck in my chest? sometimes you can feel the tube pressing against your ribs, which mine feel numb for some reason, and its really red and really sore tbh

it hurts even to look at it, ouch m8.......but where smart shader 3.0....and u can't even c teh niple lol....
