been downloading beta now for over 17 hours, my rate started at 1-5 kbps for the first 3 hours, then it went up to about 10 kbps, 8 hours later it went up to 25-35kbps then i actually started to think this is gonna be ok. but now it has droped back down to 10kbps - great O_o i thought BT rates were spose to get faster the futher the download progressed? anyone have any ideas?

By this rate.. the game will come out before the beta client is downloaded

most of the time im at 25 Kb/s its k tho ill hav it by 2nite now so it aint really a prob for me :wtf:

Yesssssssss gone down to 3kbps, may aswell use the 14k modem on my nokia and get the same rate!

25 here too, I was up in 40 just 5 minutes ago (gotta be a record) :lol:
Still think it's uber low of the people with nice connection to not upload (oh yeah, I've monitored them allright, downloading over 400kb / sec and doesnt upload a tiny bit (they are marked as Choked & Snubbed, right....)).

well i left it overnight, and everytime i have checked, i been uploading far faster than d/ling. Average dl rate looks to be 16 though....

5 hours left at the moment, and a totally crippled network for about 24 hours now

this bit torrent buisness is crap... they need to just host this on file planet... there would be like a million new accounts....

agreed... this is fucked up. I got 10 hours to go and been dling since yesterday late...on a 2 MB line..

and yea i been using BT for a long time .. i know how to config it..

I do consider it plain stupid on KKs part not to host the beta on Fileplanet. FP (as much as i hate it) is probably the best way to get a game beta published. It has tons of subscribers and also a shitload of free users who actually dont mind waiting in line to get the dl...If KK didint listen so much to a particular number of people who are fp haters, beta would be much smoother.

BT Sucks...or at least it does for me thats all i can say :( keeps jumping up n down & for some reason ive got a higher upload speed than my download.......is that right?

Anyway see you all in there in - according to this - 300 hours yay!

This BIttorent is pretty ok, It started few KB/s but as I left it overnight it speeded up to 60 which is pretty near my line cap. 4 hrs left : D

BTW dunno why when I used Shareaza every DL was stopping after w\few secs with "chocked" status... ABC is much better here : P

Using bittorrent was a stupid idea in the 1st place.

People just download and switch off - and so people struggle downloading.

Why in gods name did they not just give it a few free hosting places such as gamershell ?

They'd have loved the exclusive - and we could all now be playing beta.

left it on all night and its done.

I am still uploading at 25 or so but it cripples all of the computers here.....

its no wonder everyone just turns it off!

Am going to leave it on whilst I am working out installation and de-bugging / patching, then want to try the game out obviously.

Will seed later in day again though.
