Ok, this article has been reproduced from the ancient (and very much out-of-print) roleplaying magazine "Arcane". This article dates back to October 1997, and has been reproduced without permission. If the magazine was still in print, I'd have asked them :D

Makes me feel all jiggly inside. Why can't Neocron be grittier and harder edged. I hate playing in what seems to be a mall in arizona.

I'd love to get into some cyberpunk table-top RPG. Unfortunately I've been unable to find any groups in my local area (Kent UK)

Just finished watching Johnny Mnemonic - maybe not as good an adaptation as it could have been, but not bad IMO.

I allways feel that NC should be a bit more like 2000AD than it is atm, it's blatently one of the biggest influences of the game.
With the removal of safe zones and the char customisation and the inclusion of DoY, I hope the game will be a bit nastier and darker.

Hey, the article mentions SLA Industries - Amazingly well done game-world. So much depth in itself, but if you delve deeper, there is so, so much more to it.

If you like dark and gritty cyber-punk, go SLA.

I love 2000AD but really you can't say, just "2000AD"

Which series? There are 2 or 3 one off future shocks/storylines per month that don't even relate to cyber punkness.

Durham Red & the Strontium dog series, maybe Rogue Trooper and certainly Judge Dredd fit into the cyber punk style.

It's the people that play neocron that make it the way it is.
