Okie list to date:

Original SB 16.
POS actually fried and sucked enough power from my PSU to fry my old mobo.
Replaced by Creative:
Guess what, did it again on a new mobo.

Original SB Live Value!
Upgraded to XP Home - Found out the card was borked.

SB Audigy ZS - I don't even want to comment.

SB Audigy ZS 2 - Card seems to be behaving, for now.

7.1 surround sound system: Inspire speakers from creative:
2 speakers decide they don't wanna work with most applications, even in sound modes that should pump 'equal' (eg; non stereo/surround/live) sound out through all speakers.

MuVo2:
Buy it.
Get it home.
Charge it.
Put MP3s onto it.
Go to play MP3s - playback becomes garbled during play (trying to play more than one song at once????)
Reboot thing to see if that fixes it.
Thing wont get past flash screen, and starts emitting high heat, whilst making a high pitch whine/clicking noise.
Creatives comments:
"Oh, go into recovery mode."
Recovery mode loads but format fixes nothing.
Reloading firmware also useless.

120 quid paperweight o_O

Are those speakers digital?

I'm using the analogue connectors for the base box atm: I don't even use the fecking decoder.

I intend to pick up a digital cable some point soon, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I'v VERY satisfied with my Audigy pro... never had issues and it performs great.

Then again I've heard of REAL issues with the live series. It seems that their high-end chips are tons more reliable than the lower end ones from what I've heard.

I think all Audigy 2 ZSs have them.
I also have a firewire port on there.
