Did you just recently purchase it? A friend of mine just purchased a system and got a virus not 10 minutes after getting on the net and it locked him up so he had to reformat. He didn't get a restore disc either. He had to call some support number and some cat in India talked him thru the steps. I guess there is a backup image somewhere on the HD that it copies from. Anyways, look for a support number. I know this doesn't help much. Srry :)

Adaware helps with spyware.. u can get it from http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Grab a nortonAV to check ur viruses (or some else)

But formating..... i think thats quite harsh to do without CD :)

Could u be more specific how does ur comp act? Like it's very slow etc?
Perhaps try google to find some "registry cleaner" like windows has the bad habit of collecting unnessesary shit over there. Defrag ur harddrives etc..

++ If you really want to format it.. i'd recomend u get that CD from some place.. *aheam..not telling u to grab one of those nice downloading softwares* *blink blink*

But go for the adaware + viruscheck + registry cleaner + defrag.. might help a bit.

When you first turn the computer on, there should be something at the bottom of the screen like 'F11 change boot order' or something similar. That should let you select the locked drive that has the disk image for reformatting on it.

Well, many new computers do it this way anyways...

If you don't already have it I recommend Spybot Search & Destroy http://www.spybot.info/en/index.html as well as using ad-aware. ;)

that is a bad trial, it only optioned to clean 2 of the selected problems and i had like 100's... If you can find another one that's free and will clean all the shit at the same time that would be awesome,
