Actually NC2 is #2 on my "MUST HAVE" list.
The new Grand Theft Auto(coming out in october) is #1.

Sequel to Sea Dogs is Pirates of the Carribean. Which was OK but not great. Pirates of the Burning Sea (the mmorpg) is using that kind of engine.
Pirates! is just Sid Meier updating his godlike classic. Amazon had it down for release in June but all the mags always said December and Amazon have now changed.
I may look at the new Leisure Suit Larry too as long as it doesn't suck too much..........Oh Yeah and Flashpoint 2.

thought it was 16th of november... ah well, its looking good, much like sea dogs really, as for pirates of the carribean... it was supposed to be sea dogs 2, but then got bought by disney who turned it into crap... untill I turned it back with a community released mod :p
Still, I thought there was word on the streets for a REAL sea dogs 2 (so basicly sea dogs 3 :p)

I'm pretty much buying HL2 for two reasons:
1) All the mods
2) The actual campaign
Thats in order of priority... I think that with this new engine, some seriously awesome mods are going to be made, better than the actual singleplayer campaign thingy.
Starcraft: Ghosts.... is that the sequel to starcraft? I recently got the original SC with expansionpack and its awesome. I might have to add that to my want list.

Console "sequel" to StarCraft, in a way. Blizzard have stated it's NOT StarCraft 2 - It's not a strategy game any more, but a third-person action game where you play a Dominion Ghost operative. PN03 had better bum-rendering, though.

Why can't you stand controllers? Take some time out to get used to em. I hated every controller at first, hell I hated mouse and keyboard at first.

Dude... I'm half joking. I don't really mind consoles that much, I've just never really seen the point of them for me, when the PC is more powerful and can do more things. The only thing that consoles beat the PC at is stability.
Also, I dislike controllers because the Mouse and Keyboard is better than any controller (except possibly joysticks for Air sims, or sterring wheels for Driving sims).

if u got a decent PC and PS2 and an XBOX u can play any game u gunna want to, cept mebbe 1 or 2 on the GC

I wonder about the PC graphics being greater than consoles... I paid out the arse for a top-dollar machine and I rarely see any games pushing it. Look at the consoles and you have the likes of Metroid Prime, Tales of Symphonia, Paper Mario, Viewtiful Joe, Halo 2 etc etc outdoing the PC on graphics all the time.
Also, if you don't get consoles you're missing out on the best strategy games, the best platformers, the best adventure games, and some great RPGs. Also, PC doesn't have Disgaea. PC loses 10 points.
i prefer PC for all games cept beat em ups and platformers....i just cant button mash my key board :p

else is better with a puter. Hell plug it into the tv and buy a gamepad for the
puter if you really wanna sit in the couch...
**edit: @mumbly - it just looks like they outperform PCs due to the way TVs
work, look at the data of actual pixels and polygons and youll see something
different. Also, you can emulate every console game there is on a PC so
theres no game you cant get.

funnily enough the games ive been playing the most atm are all oldskool lol, Planescape Torment, Arcanum and the 1st Broken Sword...

That's not the only thing Rade. Stability is a HUGE + that consoles have over PCs. I don't have to worry about not having the right drivers, or some other crap. Or having the game crash or freeze. Or needing a patch. Or the other bajillion types of shit problems that happen to pcs that don't happen to consoles.
When I buy GTA:SanAn, I KNOW it will work on my console. I can't say the same for NC2 or many other PC games.

Arcanum is a damn good game. I never really understood why it go such uninspiring reviews.
I am also waiting for Conflict Omega but as that is in early development I may have to wait a while.

yeah it's (arcanum) is like one of the most moddable games around, but theres only like 10 mods and there all small, and ive NEVEr found any one to multiplay it lol

Kuz the graphics sucked and there were a ton of bugs.
But damnit the game owned. It just need a better magic regeneration system.

Consoles are decent Rade. Xbox multiplater for Halo was fab, sitting in my bedroom with my mates playing Blood Gulch with Warthogs and snipers. Then take a look at the PC alternative. No soul. I'm sure you remember playing Streets of Rage on two player on the Mega Drive. That sort of gameplay isn't dead, it's just non existent on PC's.
It has to be HL2 and NC2 :D
I have been waiting for both games for so long I feel like a child in December - christmas is getting closer! hehe
Counter-Strike: Source is going to rock, as will Condition Zero: Source.
I cannot wait :)

Yeah, they should have made SS3 instead of DeuxEx2. The engine was far more capable of the enviroment.

Edit: You know benjie, Halo 2 is Live! compatable, welcome to the internet! Also, yes, there IS a new one comming out, let me dig up like (and it's compatable with the wireless thingy)
Edit 2: hmm, my usual site seems to have lost it, it was talked about with the japanese company that makes it, they said it would be compatable with the wireless adapter and the gamecube game coming out (Under Fire?), but wouldn't even likely be out untill the end of next year.

Tell me about it. I just hope they don't tone the difficulty down, and I hope to God they remove the arenas. The difficulty's one of the best parts of the game. Aaah... permanent unit death, how I love thee so. Once I was at the end of Mission 26 (after spending like two hours on it) and Matthew was retreating to Lucius to get a heal. He got arrowed by some Archer that was out of my field of view, just because I forgot to move him to a forest where he would have got that lovely evasion. I promptly restarted. Matthew ain't never going to die on my shift!

It wouldn't be hard if resetting brought your units back to life. Hit the power button and restart the entire mission from scratch like a MAN! A STRATEGIC MAN! Command & Conquer, WarCraft, StarCraft... they've all got the depth of a Vin Diesel movie by comparison.

It REALLY sucks if you forgot to save before that mission you see (like I am prone to do). but, I suck it up and deal, it just kinda sucks when you lose a really nice unit through your own stupidity.
But yes, Fire Emblem is a much more involved strategy game than just about anything else out there. Deep story too. one of the reasons GBA > everything else right now.

It REALLY sucks if you forgot to save before that mission you see (like I am prone to do).
Bring up the menu (the one with units, options, end turn etc) and select Suspend. It'll save your game and kick you back to the splash screen. From there you can restart the mission :)
