Yes that's right, ConflictOmega will have a hacking side to it. You'll be able to disable systems, hack other online player's weaponry and much much more. Development of the server side networks has already begun! Watch this space for more info.

Oh aye... allright mate.

Yes! In my ongoing search for more FPSMMPORPGs (phew!) to test - I found this piece o'crap.

Now I appreciate the work being put in, but christ - chock full of buzzwords godawful names Pisspoor (apart from some) 3d models - (coming from a guy with 4 years max experience.)

An awful storyline...

It's like theres a bunch of suits just bossing the devs around here, and the devs just do as they're told, I mean geez! Who would ever implement the name BioBorg in their pride and joy?!

Sorry - evidently someones just inserting as many buzzwords in there as possible. At least KK bothered with the storyline and Names.

Neocron doesn't have a REAL hacking game, per se. Maybe this MMO will have a real hacking experience. You log into the game and go to your FutureCyberDellPC-10000 and use Google (or the futuristic equivalent... NeoFutureGoogle3k, probably) to go to a porn pop-up ridden site and download programs that OMFG give you remote access to some twat's PC, then when you reach a certain level of h4x0rn355 you go to school and brag to your friends how 1337 you are.

Edit: And then in celebration the GMs kill some newbies in Plaza 1.

Then they'd be the hacked (defaced, bleeding etc) rather than the hacker O_o

Seriously though, I know what ya mean. Best way to think about it is that the best skill that 90% of the "hackers" will have is "owning" others at Counterstrike (and not being able to do feck all else in life :D). 8% will use their abilities & skills for security and other beneficial reasons, and the remaining 2% who write the viruses, trojans etc will eventually be caught and end up spending a considerable portion of their life taking part in a mandatory one-way relationship with their cellmate Bubba, if ya get my drift ;)

You're probably gonna kick something for it, but soon after Uplink was released a third-party program became available that saved the game at that time and made of copy of the save files every so often (usually 10 minutes ;))

I got busted when I tried for a motherfucker-bigserver-eatyourvirtualwakesysadmin mainframe :p but I did have the cat jumping on my board while I was trying to evade the admin... L:lol:L
