Oh, I thought topic is "a pic of my sister...."
But as a xenophile I find this creature very attractive.
Someone on another forum pointed out that the tail is a little too high, IE not coming from the end of the tailbone. Bleargh.

Well you know, she's supposed to be a kitty, I didn't draw no tail though. "Neko" is japanese for kitty, and kittys are always naked ^^

she draws the entire thing in photoshop? or scans in a drawing and colours it up in photoshop.
if she doesnt scan ina drawing id suggest she draws in a programme such as illustrator or freehand and transfere it to photoshop after for colouring. she would be able to do even more. just a suggestion.

Other than a few minor adjustments this is pretty much the raw scan.
I hate drawing hands and feet, the left arm is shit.
She is a charater that has been bouncing around my head for a while, very odd person.
She is also NOT a cat girl, she attained here feline nature before I was into anime.

YAY im back from vacations^^, and now we have a new art thread? sweet, I have a few NC pics comming up, (few of them are a bit gory though, most of em are examples of characters Im working on, too bad me fargin scanner is broke, ill have a few pics up at least by monday.
PS, Im jelous of people with Photoshop and photoshop skills, cuz, I have neither :mad:

You sure do know how to draw :) Somewhy I have problems of drawing human but I can draw a pretty good goblins, wolfs, bears ect. But because Im a lazy bastard right now Im not going to send these pics. Besides I dont have a scanner and I would need to visit my sister and then there would be a fight about something and it aint worth it. So graaah back to sleeep...

@cypher, I'll try, but my photoshop abilities are very very bad.
I'll try and ink the first pic, but my ink pen is dying, so the lineart quality will be really really horrific.

OK, a few people and one PMer ahve said that I should stop being so hard on myself and/or saying my art is shit.
I think that you guys may be taking me a little too seriously, when I say 'shit' I suppose I really mean 'not up to my standards'.
As some of you know, my standards that I set myself are probably way way too high, which probably expains why I get so worked up about things.
I feel it would be wrong to think (from my perspective) that my art work is good or satisfactory, an artist should never be satisfied with anything that he makes or he simply isn't trying or attempting to push him/herself further.
The same applies to my PvP skills (though there are other aspects of my fighting skills that causes me frustration, but that has more to do with myself personally).
Anyway, here is the coloured version of my first picture.
As mentioned, I had a powercut and lost all of the work done after the initial colouring (the hard bit).
Method: Photoshop, starting from bottom layer working up.
Layer1: Blank background.
Layer2: Line art and base colours.
Layer3: Blood... Layer at 90%.
Layer4: Line art and basic shading, layer set to 40% opacity (multiply).
Layer5: Secondary shading over base shading (overlay).
Layer6: Highlighting (overlay).
Layer7: White secondary highlighting, blood effects, eye glint etc. (screen).

Id say from my standing point as a student of the art institute of San Diego, that your skills are pretty good, not as good as stuff as I've seen here, but mind you, im talking about Animation majors that are doing some Suponfuciously bitchtastic work (note, im also picking up on there vocabulary^^)
anywho, keep it up, its better than the progress Ive been making, my webcomic, just wont take flight becuase of a series of unfortunate events. Soon as my scanner is fixed, ill post me stuff, and maybe someone here could edit em or something, I lack Photoshop and the skillz to use it, so kool?
PS, like your style, anime-ish stuff was never my thing, too big eyes for me^^ you guys probably wont like my "style" but who knows, be back in about 6 hours.
