What I found in this community was a phenomena I have not found in other game forums:

Ok we will have our whines and gripes etc, but the minute somebody from outside pounces on the game, the whole community will shout him/her down and defend 'our' game (I am for instance thinking of the article that is discussed in another thread here)

This is the greatest community I have ever experienced, we Neocronians are like a 'family'

I think most people complain about this game, because they love it so damn much - and hate to see it not reach its potential.

It isn't new - As an ex-SWG player who played on the Euro-Farstar server, I remember acting as part of the infamous "anti-welcome parade", shooting down any topic on the Farstar forums about American players wanting credit-trades (especially that fecking Ahazi server :mad:)

I'm the first to admit I moan about the game allot, I find flaws in 90% of what KK does and I scream to high heavens when things don’t go my way BUT I'm still here, still paying for the game and still trying to convince others to play the game.

Why?

Cause I love the game, flaws and all, in Neocron I see something unique in design and experience, that’s why every little change is such a big deal to me, that’s why I obsess on every little change KK make to my game.

People in this community make huge posts detailing whets wrong with the game and how they think it should be fixed, others mistakenly assume that those people don’t like the game.

But if you don’t like something you just stop playing, you don’t spend an afternoon trying to think of a way to fix the game. You don’t lobby support and beg to be listened to on the forums; you uninstall and move on to the next game.

My biggest problem with Neocron/KK is my belief that KK aren’t showing that they pay attention to our ideas, suggestions, polls and rants. This community has shrunk in size over the last year because people don’t think KK is listening and that’s depressing me and I'll be here till the servers shut down.
