Cut a hole in the side and mount a 120mm fan in there. Helps enormously in cooling.

Then overclock it a bit.

Also a Thermalright SP-97 heatsink is awesome to get onto your amd.

Who cares about speakers anyway when you play with voicecom.

Go for 2 - 74GB Raptors.
If you dont have SATA go get a SATA RAID adaptor and raid the bitches up, they are damned nice, I have 2 - 36gigers, the 74GB are meant to be even faster.

I don't belive that that speakers sound as good as looks. I recomend OLD Creatives, the ones made in coop with Cambridge. These can be picked up for laughable price as ppl are selling old ones because they got fooled by futuristic look and 6.1 adverts.
In new models Creative pursued louder bass, as that is what most ppl cream about, but they archieved it through resonance. The bass is deep and loud, but it's pure rumbling having little common with actual signal coming to input. Note that GigaWorks are still made in coop with Cambridge. To bad they have no good Creatives on aria.

I'd look up ebay for DTT 2500 (5.1 with built-in AC3 decoder, digital-in so you no longer need good low-noise card as speakers has own D/A converters) or DTT2200, pretty nice 5.1 set.

Few of my friends put their sbLive!s away in favor of nVidia sound storm so I guess you won't be needing a soundcard.

scuzzis are a bit tooo expensive as a pair would probly cost me close to £500 for the ones i would want :p

scuzzi = SCSI ?
I agree with yavimaya, SATA raptors are teh win. Small but deadly. Who needs SCSI if raptors are faster than most of them anyway : P

And are you ppl work on really so important data that you need raid?

Raid 0 = performace
Raid 1 = back up

;)

and SATA Raptors 74 gig 10k prm = expensive = £135 for 1, so 2 = £270

my friend has the 7.1 inspire system and the audigy 2 zs and i can tell you that its amazing, the speakers look lovely , has a handy remote and it has a very high volume before it will even think about distorting, never judge a book by its cover and yes the bass is amazing

hehe, exactly.
I don't want bass to be amazing, I want it to be accurate : D
On my FPS1600 I have bass knob to min and it is still to loud in most situations, I'd love to have more range.

by amazing i mean yes its acurate and clear its not boomy at all , you get that with certain subwoofers, also it depends on the surface at which the subs placed on
