People used to do these kinda hoaxes all the time in the eighteen hundreds, putting two animals together and announcing that they had discovered a new creature.
A lifeform such as that would plummet to the abysses given the amount of bone in it. Leaves no room for a bladder to control bouyancy.

The thing kid kapow posted looks like a vole tbh not a mole. Theyre similar, both of the rodent family but voles can swim. moles afaik cannot. It also looks like it died, got dug up, stuffed and mounted.
The big fish shaped thing on ebay is grim though.
