its a minimum security prison, they make small time hackers and game devs who commit crimes go there and work for KK!

Seeing that makes me wonder what it must be like releasing a game like NC. So much hard work goes into it, then finally you get to see your game on the shelves. That must be such a good feeling.

Then CDV work their magic with the release :rolleyes: Not such a good feeling, to know your game will never really get the exposure or availability it deserved.

The people bitch about FREs and bugs and stuff, and moan at you for missing some release dates :o

I've always wanted to be a game dev. I'm kinda screwed by a lack of talent at mapping (my only real passion) and a lack of interest in coding (which perversly I'm really good at).

It must have been so awesome for the first few months of neocron, with the good reviews and the servers really busy. I hope NC2 goes even better for them (and for us!) cos for all it's faults it really is one of the best games I've ever played.

I've heard a rumor that says 95% of all computergame projects fail. Mine did, not because we didn't have the knowledge, but because we were lazy and the other guy was more "i love PvP" and i'm.. well me. He wanted to make a "bash eachother with weapons in an arena" full PvP-game, and i wanted to make an MMO.. But we complemented eachother, I know networking, he know graphics.. but none of us knew anything about how to make AI..

Anyway, the project failed. End of story.

That is some sort of material editor, you see the three balls on top, that's the speed bike's skins. Those underneath are just empty standard textures.

German beer is a lot stronger than you think. Well it is for me anyway, from what I understand american beer to people from europe is like piss water and not very strong.
