After a complete reinstall of windows XP;

I cannot get XP to install my drivers for my Soundblaster live! 5.1 digital. I
have managed to lose my install CD and i can't find anything of worth on the web.
I have tried several drivers/packs from creative, but neither work. The
installers complaining about not having a soundcard installed. Also
noticed that several others had run into similar problems.

The soundcard isn't broke, i've installed old drivers that XP had that worked.
But they don't support surround. (They're uninstalled as i try to install the others)

Anyway, does someone have a copy of a installation CD that followed with
your soundblaster live! 5.1 digital, that i could download? :confused:

OOh, another important thing. Is yours a sound card that came with a dell machine or one you bought in a box?

//Edit//

Damn, lexuk beat me to it.

It was a bulk, only the card + the install cd. *sigh* have looked for 2 damed hours after that cd now

do you have onboard sound active on your motherboard if its on there?
if you do go into your bios and then turn it off and then it will detect your sb live as the main audio device... all i can think of atm
