I still get the occasional email about my work for q3f (http://www.q3f.com), and I have a reasonable following for my fictional work, but they're pretty small communitys. Ask 100 people on the street if they've heard of me and I'd expect 100 of them to say no :)
I have some customers who love me if that counts.

in the town i used to live in (i moved less than a week ago from a town of 100k ppl) i was a well known jazz guitarist, and i was also in one of the regions best known rock bands, so yeah i can make a fair claim that, at least on a smaller scale, i in fact am a celebrity.
also, some space art i made was used for the cover of some cheeseball sci-fi novel, can't remember which tho.
If I were a celebrity I would enjoy to be anonymous here... So I think you have to read the poll result the other way around:

well there was this one time this guy came up to me, handed me some piece of paper with a pen. I naturally assumed he wanted my autograph. So I signed the paper and he handed me a package of sorts.
That's when it hit me, he was a delievery man working for Fed Ex.
Long story short, no celeb status here at the moment
I've been on "Law & Order" two times last season (both speaking roles) and I've been on "NY Graham Norton" on BBC this year, but I don't think I'm considered a celebrity, yet..... ;)
