Over on the nc.synergyxr.net forums (http://forums.synergyxr.net/viewforum.php?f=11), I post info/guide requests from time to time. I know that many of us have a set of forums/boards that we probably read daily, and I'm sure my little forum isn't one of them for most of you :p But I'd like to say here just once so I don't spam the official forums with requests, that this is where I put them. So if you're bored and really need to do something that is NC related, I'm sure there's a task there that could use tackling :)
Currently we're filling up the Mob Database, but I'm super picky about pictures. Info on that can be found under the 'Neocron Photo Hunt ("http://forums.synergyxr.net/viewtopic.php?t=1061)' Thread. Someday I'd like to get the mob HP and Damage Types in there, but 'getting the info' as they did in the ems.ru days is not as easy as it was then :( I'd also like an updated Recycling Guide since the one paragraph one (http://nc.synergyxr.net/guide.php?guide=ammo) that was from croncom... kinda sucks. That info can be found in the '
Guide Request: Recycling (http://forums.synergyxr.net/viewtopic.php?t=1231)' Thread. I'm currently working on a 'Creating Your New Character' guide, but not putting too much effort into it as NC2 might be around the corner. All the Epic Runs could use more screenshots. I did the CityAdmin Epic (http://nc.synergyxr.net/guides/epics/epicinfo.php?faction=1) but it requires a lot of work with the Control+Shift+F6 method so I've not had a lot of time to fill out the rest.
Guides with pictures and tons of info are good :) Here's an example of one I adapted for the site: Swamp Cave 6 (http://nc.synergyxr.net/guides/swamp_cave_6/). Then there was Alamais's DoY Tunnel (http://nc.synergyxr.net/guides/doy_tunnels/) Info he submitted to me and I converted into a sort of Guide Format. Basically, I'll do my best to preserve any layout/info that people submit, but I'm all about giving anyone as much credit as they want.
The Files Section is starting to fill out. I'm always open for more videos (http://nc.synergyxr.net/files.php?cat=videos) which compliment NC, [Wallpapers (http://nc.synergyxr.net/files.php?cat=wallpapers), or Maps (http://nc.synergyxr.net/files.php?cat=maps). I've hesitated on the Utilities and Skill Managers as A) NC2 makes me reluctant to invest a lot of work in things that might change soon and B) Third-Party Programs make me paranoid.
Also - I'll be building up the Links section in the next week or so. I've been dabbling in the idea of starting a maintained webring for NC so we can have a decent Clan/Fan/Resource site circle going. RPGPlanet (http://www.rpgplanet.com/neocron/webring.asp) used to have an NC webring, however none of their images exist anymore... the NC Webring Forum doesn't exist anymore... and basically, yeah. SO, if NC2 comes out soon - we'll be asking for 3 or 4 NC2 Webring images and I'll start up a database of CURRENT NC/NC2 sites :)
And as always, the site is dependent upon Community Activity. If there's an update to an item, in the info window of each item is a link to submit a correction, go for it :)
