I would guess anyone getting into beta is bound by the NDA not to talk about it.
Generally, it prevents them from getting spammed with gazillions of questions :p

Also, it makes sure you don't go tell everyone about the upcoming features or any bugs (which are usually in the process of being fixed anyway).
