I just built a comp and my 2500+ reads as a 1900+

Its a k7n2 Delta mobo (msi)

and an athlon xp 2500

and giel 512 mg of memeory along with a msi fx 5600 video card

anybody have the same prob?

you checked the FSB settings are correct?That would be the problem. Just go into your bios and set the fsb to 'manual' then change it from 133MHz to 166MHz. (266 and 333MHz DDR respectively.)

i had teh same problem with my XP2800+ when I installed it, its the FSB just change that and ur laughing!

check what the max cpu the board can take some of hte older ones only say all AMD xp CPU's but......

erm ya i have a similiar problem, mine shows my cpu as 1800+xp plus, i dont know if it reads it as a 2.4 or just a 1.8
