Updating game data

Slight problem which last time i fixed with a reinstall but my disks have gone somewere dont really no i think they ran away heh :)

neways wen i try to log onto saturn i get stuck on a screen saying updating game data is there a way to stop this with out doing a reinstall ???

It happened to me after the most recent Saturn downtime, it went away after a reboot or 3...I dunno...should have stopped when the hamsters got going again, mine did :(
