This is a quick survey to find out what kind of merchandising articles you would like to see for Neocron 2. Please post your suggestions without big discussions to make the evaluation easier. Thanks.

Neocron comics would really be something worth marketing, they just require so much work... I wouldn't miss an issue if you ever start those.

Also I gotta say you should wait up with the merchandise until NC2 is out so we can find more things to love.
I mean hats and smokes might be damn good stuff, so good that none uses the PA :p
Btw a MC5 chip to the first one who manages to get hat, smokes and PA on at the same time

How about sew on badges/patches for all of the factions and NCDP. Then you sew them on to backpacks, jackets and the like.

Dog Tags with Faction Logo of your choice.. or better yet, with the name of your character, Citizen ID and faction (Could be pricey though)

Lifezise paper model of a tg guard, pp stripper, copbot, camo pa tank and doy gaurd (this will be cool to promote the game in shops), can be a merchandise as well. Thinking of more, i'll get back to you.

Holy crap, that’s an excellent idea Folsom! Might as well use the open-source D20 system and put together a book with all the history and stats for things in the game. After all, Diablo and Warcraft did it!

A branded everglide.co.uk mousemat (I think they have a US based.com site too) - their mats are nice.
Also, a small 7-seg LED clock WITH SECONDS that I can pop on top of my computer - as well as useful for telling the real-world time while in Neocron it'll be useful for timing hack terminal reboots and spawn times in FPS games I play.

There really should be some merchandising stuff in the NC2 box, something nice you want to use, like mouse pad, poster, fluffy toy to put next to your monitor, etc.
In other words; something you will see next to your computer and give you bad conscience when playing other games than NC, something that will make you choose to play NC when you sit down in front of your computer and think "what shall i play today?".
And i'd like to stress this again; please make quality stuff that won't break after 5 minutes (that's really bad PR) and actually has something interesting printed on them. I won't buy a mouse pad/shirt/mug/whatever with the text "Neocron" printed on, but if you make stuff with nice logos, in-game pictures, NC art, ect... then i get really interested.

Ideas for stickers:
Warbot Cola prints, should fit a standard cola can. (Looks neat to have a Warbot Cola next to your computer ;) )
Other "Neocron Brand name" prints, Milky Rens, Jack Whisky, 'Cron 55 Beer. In general, these should fit real life equivalens of these products.
Also, selling real magazine versions of the NeMa could be a cool idea. As well as the VOTR, of course.

Making merchandise for NC2 = Loads of profit from fanboys like me + free advertising as I'd parade around in public with NC2 plastered all over me = Loads and loads of dolla dolla to fix anything.
loads of profit from a few people buying some merchandise does not compare to 100 new people creating accounts and paying a monthly fee to KK.
We are more likely to get a better game if as much funding as possible is put into it and therefore more people play it

...You know, having one of the 2D artists spend a few days knocking up designs ISN'T going to bankrupt the company. Merchandise like this is low cost for large potential profit. And the profits would be injected back into a new Rolex the game, so I don't see what you're complaining about.
Also, I've stuck with KK for so long. A few sexy posters, a mousemat, and some clothing. They owe me that much :angel:

figurines/plastic models/toys of PAs (all colors), copbots, stormbots, vehicles, doy bots, grim chaser/persecutor, warbot, hoverbot, shaman, cyclops, agressor, TH turret/security bot, drones .. i would probably buy a few for looks and fun :)
OOH an electronic copbot that gives out warnings or otherwise a random sound from the game "Freeze!" "I. said. drop. that. weapon." "ok that's enough pal OPEN FIRE bambambambam"

Yeah A3 posters in the box (like SWG like Ascention said) with NC2 would be sweet, there should be on one side the world map and the other one of the 4 random classes in their PA, so you would have either a spy/pe/monk or tank in their PA...or even Camo PA for the Tanks & PEs.
Also the voice changer thing sounds really sweet i mean you can already buy them so youd just have to stick some NC2 branding on them.
