I had running spyware programs in my process list I stopped them first then I ran adaware it found over 100 nastys it cleared all but a few had to do a reboot scan it cleared them. Then I ran spybot search an destroy it got rid of about 4 spyware programs system seems clean now :)

Edit: I use zonealarm firewall it tells me when a new program wants access to the internet and after clicking that link in IE lots appeared I let them all pass till I saw SAagent.exe a well know adware program.

my spybot kept shutting down half way through the inspection, adaware did find 7 tracking cookies, not sure where they came from, Veiw at your own risk

I'm pretty sure kontraband is safe, i've used it for a while with no probs using ad-aware etc might be wrong though (also found it via a fhm newsletter so doubt they'd advertise spyware...).
