alot of people in OOC thought this was a good idea

the game diablo 2 ( i dont like the game much cuz its a hackers playground ) has unique rings / armors because they have random stats.


why not add some implants that have random stats and non researchable so it creates a wider market and more diversity in the game and actually create UNIQUE items.


for instance:

you kill a warbot, find a implant : *any given name* ( they should prolly have a gerneric name so its not as hard for KK to make them [ not tryin to put down kk just sayin it'll be easier this way ] example: Personal Implant)

and the stats would be random

ex:
Str Req: 28
+3 dex
-2 int
-10 Body health
+3 weapon lore

( the req should not be limited and the +'s to int, dex, str, psi, and con. should be limited to 5 and there should be no more than 5 effects total )


that would create a very good market for neocron because that implant right there wouldnt be very good yet someone would probably want it.

and someone could find a very good implant thats like this

Dex Req: 82
+5 Str
+3 Int
-6 weapon lore
-1 Con.

( a spy would like that because it would +int and +str but req alot of dex ) so that would sell pretty good.

but to make them rare they should have alot more that arent so good

like Psi Req: 93
-3 Psi
-2 Dex
+3 body health
- 7 weapon lore

that would be a bad one to get, but still it would be unique.

would be kewl, could open up a whole new side of neocron for the collectors out there who have to have everything, they could end up comparing and trading, kewl, chipocron!

Yea i've suggest random stats on things before. BUt from droppable things. Like the armor that drops from mobs should have random stats all over the place where maybe a particular armor has less fire but more pierce and force protection. Maybe it has more energy. Maybe dropped weapons should have better max conditions and random stats also so it might be worth using if you get it repaired or what not. It would also vary setups somewhat.

seein as how we are getting two accessory slots, maybe KK could introduce some useful armour accessories that have random qualities and fit in the slot, or maybe chip boosters that fit in the slots, but again are random drop and random statistics, so like a 2/2 spider might drop..

CPU Enhancer - Accessory

+2%Dex
+1%Int
-2%Con
-1%PSI
Requirements 10 Dex

Which would be a nice chip, but percentage based stats so a leveling tool, whilst a grim chaser might drop one that is

-5%Int
-3%Con
-2%PSI
+5% Recyle
Requirements 70 Dex

Useless pretty much, cept for recyle ;)

No i think non stat items should just be allowed in the accessory slots to just give people a bit more to be indivudals on the outside. But as was said in another idea thread is that once you start throwing stats on it then you've just killed the reason to make yourself look different. As everyone will try to get the ones that give them what they need for combat. So again we'd come back around to attack of the clones.

Look in the BDoY trailer, you can see the new RPOS and you'll clearly see two accessory slots shown.

@ amfest - if the stats are random, as well as the quality, each could be totally unique?

Wow this is the best idea ever created for NC seriusly this would make anything possible.
There wouldnt be people with EVERYTHING they could have good things.
There will always be a item to find thats better this would open up a whole new NC trade system. Still the only thing we need to get worked out is the money problem.
I say put this idea into the game and wipe everyones cash to 100k but dont wipe items so people couldnt just buy it all from the start
