my style XP free thing ran out so i uninstalled :p

i dunno. i installed aston about 2 hours ago so it cant be too hard to figure out. i just increased all the font sizes and changed the text / links in the menu's at the top. oh and changed the date/time format and moved the winamp shell thingy :p

and i added a few of my old desktop shortcuts too

I bought photoshop 6 a long while back and just paid for upgrades. It's a tool with a learning curve. You can't just open it up and expect to make brilliant stuff right from the start...hell, I'm still learning and I've been doing freelance work for almost 4 years. I plan on taking some actual design classes one of these days to actually know something about what I am doing.

if nothing else just find some 1vs1 fight and you'll get some time, they're mostly newbies, or just make your own

I'm seriously considering starting to use Aston Shell, but I just want to know, once you've installed it does it automatically set itself to your default desktop shell, or does it overwrite the default shell or something?

I just don't want to be stuck with it there and have no idea how to remove it. :o

I have an AGP ATI 9600XT running the large monitor in the middle, and two PCI matrox millenium IIs (£5 each off ebay) running a monitor each. Im running XP home, which does the rest for me really.

Okay for anyone interested in using custom xp skins.. you need a little program that cracks your UXTHEME.DLL!

ive tested the little program lots of times and its never harmed my pc..

here it is UXTHEME.DLL (http://freethemes.forthnet.gr/preview/310804.html)


First, uninstall any version of StyleXP or similar program(s) you that may have installed already.
Remove any present Windows XP CD(s) from your CD drive(s).
Unzip PatchXP-SP1 to any folder on your hard disk.
Run the PatchXP-SP1.exe file.
Click "Patch", (You will receive a message saying that the patch was sucessful after the installation completes).
Click "Reboot", making sure you IGNORE any messges that may pop up, DO NOT acknowledge them at all, just let the system reboot! Your styles should now work correct

after rebooting open up the file i posted earlier on in the thread and double click the theme file.
