I just upgraded my GF3TI200 to an ATI RADEON 9800 PRO 256, uninstalled the nvidia drivers first offcourse
now i get good fps ingame, but every time i hit an arrow, nc goes instantely back to desktop, not even a fre
whether i do it ingame to try and walk, or in the menu, doesnt matter, instant desktop

any ideas?
installed the latest ATI drivers (Catalyst 4.7)

Display Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Options

Uncheck the box next to 'Enable ATi Taskbar Application'.

Should solve the problem. :)

I used to have that when I used TS. give WASD a try if you can.

The TS issue is fixed by turning off NumLock. :p

the nvidia card who performed the closest to this one costs 150€ more

You might notice a few little thing's when playing NC on a ATi machine, nothing game breaking, but can be a bit of a pita.


still, why pay more for less?

gah should of got radeon 9800 se and soft mod it to pro, pro and se same cards just pro have 8 pipeline enabled and se only 4 but soft mod takes care of that and u have saved urself about 100 bux if not more;)
but since u got it u can mod it to TX ^^ just get new cooling....
