I'd hope KK would have the thought to post a community issued statement saying at such a time on sundays they reset the servers. Thus eliminating mass confusion on this issue, but so far I see no such statement. So it may just be the servers going down as first assumed.

servers are supposed to reboot during off-peak times ... otherwise it would be more detrimental than helpful ...
