I was just wondering who is the oldest character alive in NC and on which server he/she is playing?
My oldest char is my tank called Chipz on Saturn and his date of birth is 4-10-2747, but i'm sure there or characters that are much older then he is.
So let's hear it......

On saturn its a close call between myself and a fist full of others, in terms of beta/retail.
But really, its impossible to tell, most of the OLD OLDIES are no more :(

beta 3... didnt have forum account for a while though :p
You'd need to ask on the German forums as they got a month or so of head-start on the UK, who in turn got about a month on the US. Pluto came in with the yanks.
I'm sure there are a bunch of Germans still around who bought the game on day one and a few Dutch and Belgians who snuck over the border for it.
My oldest (Jernau) is from day one of UK Retail. I'm sure there are lots of characters around still from then.
DoB is no help unfortunately - there was a thread a while back where we all posted them and it was random within a six year window or something like that IIRC.
/edit - Beta characters don't count surely - they all got wiped several times.

I believe he meant the oldest character (date of birth the game generates)

yep i'd say me and kk have been thru quite a bit over the years... including an old comment thread at neocron/online where me and MJS really had at each other,BUT THAT'S PAST NOW!!

Well I had to take a run over to the character screen to see what ages my chars were. Funny thing the first character I made is younger than the last char I made. At any rate I made my first character on the very first day of the screwed up North American release day. Before that it would have been early into the BETA 4 realease. That was the longest few months I have ever waited for a computer game.
ya the dates have to be fucked up cuz OTIS my 1st char was born in 2747 and my monk was born in 2741 so thats so ghetto shizzle my nizzle
duno were u get ur dates but my tank is the oldest person in my char list and the newest char i made date of birth is order then my tank.
I made my pistol PE Jack Drake the first week of retail on Pluto. I rerolled him in December though because I was like -98 BD symp and wanted something to do. Same name and skills as before. My first retail character and my last.

Yep, The the DOBs are screwy as my 02 was born on 2-14-2746, which dates from sometime in the middle of December 2002 but is younger than the sirRah char,. above.
Well I have been here since release (never got into Beta unfortunately, not for lack of trying). Then went away when SWG came for three months and of course came back to NC.
Went away again some months ago when I thought DOY was just around the corner but still waiting.
But for me NC is the No 1 game, have not found anything remotely that can beat NC.

I'm not going to bother listing in game D.O.B. as they are not accurate. But 3 of my Saturn alts were made in Late November 2002. And My 4th alt(which is a reroll) was made like 3 months ago and his ingame D.O.B. is older than all the others. :rolleyes:
This thread is about ingame age, noone cares how long you've played nc : p Ingame age is semi random, I say that because I have no idea how it's figured. I've heard people with even newer characters that somehow get really old birthdays. So it really has nothing to do with creation date.
Carinth: 6-12-2740 (55 yo)
Crysta: 5-23-2743 (52 yo)
In actuality Carinth was created Dec 2002, when Pluto first opened. Crysta... was much later at least middle of 2003, towards the end of summer I believe.
It's a bit odd how KK, a company with an average age of 20-something made us all start out middle-aged. It won't be long before everyone in NC has a bus pass.

my tanks allready getting reumatic and has serieus troubles with carrying he's cursed soul ... using mellee for a while definatly had its effect ... all that swinging...
and them cannons all have such a crazy weight :/ what where they thinking at tangent when they made em :/ im no bodybuilder nomore at my age :)
think its time to switch to pistols there weight is ok, but they make such a irritating noice taktaktaktaktaktak, makes me nervous, luckely my hearing isnt all that nomore, unless i put the volume of my hearingdevice waaay up :/
maybe even purchase a vehicule to spare the legs, my stamina isnt what it used to be, that buspass is a good idea i must say, i allready use the metro but thanx to the cool guys at next thats free allready

Too bad I don't remember when I finally got a grip on my copy of NC, obviously it wasn't first day of Pluto; Lexxuk-the-PE was already capped IIRC and Cryton-the-tank almost.
I can't really check now, but I have a Spy who I gave birth to on the first day Pluto opened. He is still alive :)

Guys, the dates are random so saying when you created the chars are meaning less.

Yeah, all of a sudden he fell over on top of the elite stormbots, which had smoking gunmuzzles.
I guess he didn't know he was pulling something out of his robe for a while allready :-)
crashing with cath sact out infront of stormbots isnt healthy can cause premature death :rolleyes:
The birthdates are assigned randomly upon char creation along with other char
details (eye colour, height, etc).
It's unfortunate that the birthdate of all things is random, it should be consistant
to the game world.

It says frube was born 2742 and alig in 2745 but frube is not an old character ...she was made at least 1 year (real time) after alig was.

I have no idea when I started my oldest character, and can not currently check the stated birth date, so I'll come back with that later.
