Hey, I don't know much about it but I think Neocron should work.
I think it will just run on 32-bit though ;)

It's not like a 64bit version of Windows will magically make a 32bit executable into a 64bit one.

You're better off using Windows XP until MS officially releases the 64bit Extended version of Windows XP...

Yeah ive found out that has been released

Afaik its not been released you've probably seen the beta which has been free to download for sometime now but from what I’ve heard still has a fair few bugs :)

Not 100% sure but think official release is set for Oct/Nov, but don’t expect any huge increase in performance of 32 bit apps, it will only make windows and other 64 bit apps run faster, that’s not to say Athlon 64's aren’t sweet CPU's though :) they out-perform a lot of p-4's in most test in 32 bit so should see an increase over an older system just don’t expect it to make games etc better than a 32 bit CPU equivalent, at least until games are created for 64bit processors.

Neocron will run on 64 Bit Processors/Operating Systems. It just wouldn't really take advantage of the new archetecture too much.

"It's not like a 64bit version of Windows will magically make a 32bit executable into a 64bit one."

It doesn't need to?

The whole point to x86-64 is to pave the way for a smooth transition from 32bit to 64bit CPUs. Run 32bit OSes now, then shortly move up to 64bit OSes that still run 32bit code, and later phase out most 32bit code if possible.

It's not like IA64, which is a completely different instruction set and is not backward compatible with IA32.

Windows XP 64bit Extended edition is not retail yet. It's still in beta and there's no indication it'll be out of beta before Q3.

150 day trial available for both XP 64 and Longhorn.

Longhorn is corporate only though :)

AFAIK the current 64bit Windows is optimized for the IA64 architecture.
Which means you need an Itanium to use it.

Ran it fine on my Athlon64.

edit: well, as far as I can stretch the word 'fine' given the current lack of drivers
