* I like to roleplay as a girl who grew up in the slums of pepper park. Due to my history in Neocron, I joined the City Mercs after waking up as a "drone" in the MC5 unit, and have heard tales of conspiracy ever since which I enjoy sharing with people. After spending time in the City Mercs, time slowely showed me who I really was, my battered past, people who new me, family members of the Black Dragon Clan....
I am very informal with member of Tsunami Syndicate whilst not in turf combat, almost rude. I tend to refere to individual members as "Tsunami" rather than by there first or whole name. Despite my loyalties, I have some sympathy for the City Mercs having spent my past there. I also have much hatred which I do not take out on members. I am still friends with members of many City Mercs and I do not want to fall out with them over something so petty, so we keep our hostilities bottled up.
I despise Reza for Mc5 most of all. I will never forgive him and thus feel no remorse scamming those loyal to City Admin, scamming of course being a trate of the Black Dragon. As a Black Dragon, I scam people who are stupid enough to be scammed, but I also am trustworthy when friends are involved. Mention the name of somebody I am friendly with and you will have my almost as much trust with me as I have with our shared friend.

* I basically act as me, if i had psionic powers, worshipped Crahn and like to go around with 3 sets of clothes (1 casual, 2 smart) ;) As a non-PvP roleplayer the ol' red = dead does not apply here, but i will defend myself if attacked.

I RP a bit nowdays, not much incentive to RP at all.
It's not fun to RP with LOLOLOL ONOZ KOS!!!111 around you. Neocron is something inbetween a pure FPS and a "R"PG right now. Even with my persuation, my RP friends has choosen NOT to play it because of the community.

As i see fit. By putting Random PKers, Noobkillers and other griefers on shitlists, aka "do-not-serve list (since i'm a tradeskiller) - that is the bare minimum of my RP for me since i usually take a stand for the weak (in real life too), i got integrity and belive in freedom, liberty, Ghandis "walking the the middle road" and decentralisation.
Some people dont like that - which i dont give a fuck about. I may wander off from Protopharm to Twilight Guardian since i hate oppressive governments. I can live with NC being the way it is - for now, because i'm out hunting for rares 99% of the time anyway.

but hey, thats why i made the char on saturn so that they could log their big guy to die also after their noob =p

I'd rather not post who my RP characters are. for 1 I"d rather they be kept seperate from who I am here. For another then people know that's my paritcular RP "alt" character so If another character of mine does something to them then they would, in most cases, Kos even my RP character for no RP reason. Which is very lame. No real setups of situation meetings .. they act according to the situation of their lives on what they do. If you happen to meet them then it was a fated meeting. *shrugs*

I roleplay most of the time. Not always with my own clan and never on Ventrilo. I play neocron for pvp and believe that you must be willing to attack red to be a real roleplayer.

I like to roleplay all conversations between factions and clans that are done in local chat. Naruto drives vehicles around with red SL and kills people randomly. He has a house with supplies in the wastelands and finds or makes all his own armor and ammo. Naruto also kidnapped someone (neocronicle) :D
(Naruto has more character and RP effort put in him than Jack)
If you need someone to roleplay with the GMs and FCs are the best. They have the ability to do things players cant like spawn guards or whatever is needed and always do a mature job. If you get important persons involved it has much more value and even the people who dont roleplay will go along.
You can make the coolest events if you try.

I don't really *enjoy* PvP, but sometimes a girls got to do what a girls got to do (and the next guy that uses a crude pickup line on me, I'm going to shove my HEALING LIGHT so far up their ass they'lll have a swirly coming out of their ears...)

Some of the time, as it is hard on Pluto nowadays - it was somewhat better before when more new people were showing their faces around. Yeah i enjoy pvp, although mostly as a part of role playing.

- Azariah Raven (pluto), still i'm bored enough to make a reroll soon, i guess...
- i'll try to create some pure rp chars on other servers (for spreading rp terror across the pk lands... - "wtf? onoz a rp!!!") but their names remain a mystery (it's the only possible way to make a real, full time rp char... )

I roleplay a retired soldier, pro city admin with a strong dislike of anti-city terrorists. He's patrolling the most populated areas (on Pluto it means, i just roam the empty wasteland untll i got bored to death and either go to pp or log off...) of the wastelands, trying to protect the runners from various criminals and scum like that. He definitely dont follow the f6 screen, which means criminal is going to be hunted regardless of the faction/clan issues. And that's basically it. He'd love to help and instruct some noobs but there are no new people on pluto, sadly. *sigh*

Now and again you get me talking OOC, but any RP'er does, but yes I RP my character nearly all the time, and stay in-character as the careful thinking, CEO of Phoenix Ltd, Techhaven finest constructor and the vice chairman of Fallen Angels. It's hard to drop out of character in Phoenix, as we are a RP'ing clan, and all the members do RP. (Or try to)
PvP - well I dont go out to PvP I'm a little gimped for that! But you will find me at a FA op-war.

How do you like to roleplay, and what do you enjoy about it?
Well I was talking to one of my members on vent the other night, while we was RP'ing his mysterious return. He discribed it as a game of chess. I suspose the biggest challenge is coming up with a plot, thats funny, entertaining and getting the other players involved. Then when you do RP the plot, figuring what to do when someone says or does something that makes it go off-track completely. (Which does happen!) At the end of it, you have a great story to tell.

I try to keep in character as much as possible but sometimes the real me still
comes thru and i act like a dick lol. Yea i love PvP even tho i suck at it lol

The Cult was really fun to roleplay, when it started nobody knew how big it
was going to get. it was just one fun crazy ride. I did that as a Stoned priest chick who was going rather insane with all the stuff that was happening around her

server rather than just my faction and clan. i felt the best way to do this
would be to get out on the streets of neocron on push drugs to the lil kiddies.
Tom is chilled out, all he really wants to do is make sure Black Dragon is at the top when it comes to selling drugs.
Phoenix is where i get to roleplay insane lol, and now that my mate in r/l is
back (and in Phoenix) things are gona get really insane. SiL used to be the
char that was more like me, but she has slowly changed into her own
personality so now Ben is more like me lol which is why i rp him weird.

no i dont like to roleplay, its naff, i dont like to pretend im calling authorities when ive been killed, i like to pvp and be myself, i dont like to call people 'mr.crazy', or love my factions leader, i also dont like to wear an le, pretend im a policeman or have an actual role-playing name.
i dont mind role-players, i find them funny and intresting when u listen to them, but id really rather just be myself.

i roleplay all the time. i play uranus, i try to make each of my chars different in what they say/do who they help etc.
However many people cant distinguish one from another and some constantly refer to me in the wrong name, ie one of my alts so this blows all chance of roleplay outta the water.
yes i love pvp. roleplay to me is not quite as crazy described it, roleplay to me is gettin ganked, grabbin doc and mixin it up with those fuckers a 2nd time round.
still i try.
i do role play a bit, nothing like hardcore roleplay or nothing.
and i do concider killing my enemies roleplay, this is all mainly done on my monk, i do tend to throw lines that would be apt from a crahn monk.
and 90% of the time when i kill someone rather than just say something like " i pwn joo b1tch!!!!1111"
i normally throw something like "go with crahn child" "i execute you in the name of crahn, heretic filth" etc
my char name is Shinto
and currently being embroiled in a civil war within crahn which encompasses black dragon things are certainly looking interesting for my mighty child of crahn ;)
thats when im not ganking CAs(right mcvenner :p )

3) I roleplay around 50% of the time, and my character is based around a RP theme. I enjoy PvP, slightly gimped character to fit in with my theme, but it works

5) I mainly roleplay through PvP, concentrating on killing heretics (enemy psi monks) or trying to convert neutral/allied psi monks. If I have a choice between killing an enemy PE and an enemy Monk I will choose the monk.

-I only roleplay with individual roleplayers, when I roleplay, I do it pure.
-I do not enjoy PvP.
-Names are different, I'm not very active on RPing in NC.
-In Neocron I always prefer to play lowlife, but seeing as in how NC isn't very easy to roleplay with, I get killed a lot doing that.

Started NC feb/march 2003 on
Pluto
The first many months of life in NC i roleplayed extensively as a repairer in plaza I. Soon i found out that GEF did not need me services (killed me in aggies after teaming up with me), and from there it went... Slowly becoming more and more well known and would get more than a few DMs asking for repairs if i ever ventured outside the gates of NC. These days my RP'ing is mostly done in via3 when i get the chance. Or... if interesting stuff happens, like the revival of the skull cult (which was quickly put down, at least in TH hehe). Oh, and as for RP'ing, hows putting all of silents on ignore? I mean, as CA we've tried to use reason, but the TG just wont listen, so why keep trying? ;)
Nowadays im doing the role of clanleader more than the old veteran repairer... Also seems everyone has a tradeskill alt, so praetorian is not utilizing his repair skill much outside of clan...
I love the roleplaying in via3, more than a few times have passing runners stopped just to eavesdrop or even participate in the conversations... best was when me and another runner fixed 2 totally random people coming out of GR at Emmerson factory for 30-45 minutes just listening in on our 'soap opera'... memorable stuff... =)

Probably roleplay about 50% of the time.
With a lot of the people on the server i'm so relaxed, it's hard to stay IC all the time.
What's more is, if someone speaks to me about char stats --- it's OOC and ...since most people always want to talk to me about char stats...heh...

How do you like to roleplay, and what do you enjoy about it?
QuantumDelta is very aggressive compared to my other characters, he tends to be very very active diplomatically and takes a heavy interest and tends to influence the server's general flow of power...
He's a very honour bound character, Never killed someone who hasn't been an aggressor first -- tends to be a powerful avenger.
He's not afraid to dive into situations where there is no chance of him winning and still fighting his way around it.
Kenshin is extremely reserved unless in combat, where he tends to either naturally assume, or have command of the situation thrust on him.
PPU, Kind hearted, defends others with himself.
He wont run away from a fight unless there is nothing he can do (everyone else is dead and camped --- in the old days he'd still /try/ to rezz with 10-12 semi-skilled to elite people running around after him).
He gives of himself always spending time to help young runners to train themslves to better cope with the world.
My name is Menolak, and I currently reside on Venus. Once upon a time, I was a loyal executioner for the Twilight Guardian, drinking the blood of CA weaklings daily.
After a traumatic encounter with nine Grim Chasers in the Tezla area, my smoking, semi-conscious body was found by some members of the CityMercs, who were in the area on an assassination mission. They brought me back to their Base in the Wastelands, with the intentions of turning me in to NCPD for the price on my head.
After regaining consciousness, I discovered to my horror that I had no memory of who I was, complete and total amnesia. During a brutal attack on the Base, I fought alongside my rescuers, unknowingly slaughtering my former comrades from TG like cattle. Since that day, I have no family but the Mercs who adopted me, fighting daily against bounty hunters from CA and TG alike.
Much later, through hypnosis sessions with a Protopharm specialist, I recovered my identity, and it has become a daily struggle to surpass my murderous urges. Instead of suffering a nervous breakdown, I chose to steer my exceptional talents for killing into contract assassination work, and I have never been happier,or richer, in a long time.
Name: Felix May.
Occupation: Freelance reporter for the Neocronicle and NEMA, reserve soldier for the City Admin's military branch.
Background: Originally began his service to the City Admin through a simple term of military service. After his enlistment period ended, the City Admin offered him, much as they offer all soldiers after enlistment, a job fitting their skills. Private May, though born and bred to be a fighter, was gifted with better language skills than most GEN-tanks - This allowed him his oppurtunity to work with the City Admin press department.
Felix only spent a little over a year in that position before leaving to seek private employ.
Do I roleplay? Only when on Felix. It's really easy to roleplay a character... Especially in this game since there's no true language differences between the proposed future and now. No one has to speak with Ye's and similar antiquated terms to be taken as a serious roleplayer.
How do you roleplay, what do you enjoy about it? My roleplay is simple. I provide the obvious services to the City Admin and my employers. I write stories which provide entertainment for other players. I act in a manner which doesn't bring current day events and news into the game.
I enjoy adding to the atmosphere of the game. Originally when I was one of the six GEN brothers that stood around on Pluto bitching about Director Kiff and his missing copbot armor... Alot of people enjoyed it. Hell, alot of people thought that the six of us were GM's. We added a certain pizazz - It was most entertaining when the six of us (all looked exactly the same, same setups, same weapons, same rank) barricaded Pepper Park 2 and the BD HQ under the guise of a CA Narcotics raid. Sure, there were assholes who tried to wreck it, but we got enough support from fellow CA players to make it enjoyable for all.
Personally, I beleive that a game without atmosphere is a game that isn't worth playing. We're the players of this game, we're given the stage; it's our job to act the part and take advantage of what has been left for us.
