Some bugs in the current loot are really tricky, and I have big problems trying to comprehend how these work. Would you be so kind as to help me? :)

I just wanna mention - as a 50ish/50 droner, I'm getting absolute crap from grims (both kind) even if I solo them. Glass, metalpipes, chitin (!!!!) from Grim Persecutors, only one peice of armor or vehicle part from grim chasers along with a medicalsubstance most of the time from Grim Chasers. The doomreapers are the only firemob dropping anything remotely decent at a decent interval. Terror Raptors/Leapers are about on the same scale as doom reapers, though still hit bad (dropping useless junks like 2 square organics frequently). Hoppers and raptors aren't dropping the good 4 square organics as much as they used to.

I'll get on my reveller-driving'n'gunning Gentank - 55/60ish when he gets in a rev, and try it out for a bit.

I've noticed the aggies, since the last patch, are dropping weapons (rykers seem to be a favorite) alot more now and useful junk less. However you could feed an army with all the dropped food.

Thought this might have somthing to do with it, seems like kinda a reversal of the loot rules.

I hunted for about 4 hours today, 48 techs. I heard a lot of complaining on the trade channel, but in my opinion, the drop rate is perfectly fine right now. Tech parts, junk, armor, it is all fine. The only problem is that the occasional high level mob (perc/chaser) would drop a single piece of chitin or gland. That's the only problem I see.

that doesnt help callash or anyone else here... what mobs were you killing? what rank are you? what zone, and how many did you kill to get 48 parts? BTW, I have no personal problems with you, but 48 parts in 4 hours with the current drop rate? For that I think you are either BSing, or have some exploit.... because EVERYONE else has a horrible drop rate.

Warbots and warbot titans.. i know one dropped only wire junk and metalpipes. next one was a implant part #blah, those round things more wire junk and some glass, next had a medical substance thingy and a small hydraulic part, one after ahd something like a small hydraulic part and a large one and a round thingy, oh and a hardware based-os...

again not particularly accurate as i didn't set out last night to record the poop loot. (i didnt see this thread till this morning) overall i think i killed about 20 wb's and wbt's and i got 3 L parts.

I hunted approx 80 warbots and titans yesterday. I probably won't have time to do that again right now, but if it helps, here is the average loot (excluding junk):

Every Warbot had at least one of either reactor, processor, and that thing that looks like headphones o_O

I didn't get more than one rare part for each warbot. It did happen however that I got one lvl3 imp and a rare part. This happened only twice however, both times a rare part and a psi lvl3 imp.

Well, heres my contribution from the weekend - I havent been able to play NC all week because my router at home is KO so I cant provide the information on a per-warbot basis:

Class: Rifle PE, 66/67

Mob: A mixture of Warbots / Warbots Titans (Totalling exactly 20)

Loot: Average loot usually consists of three base items:

Processor (A stack of 1 - 3)
Cables (A stack of 1 - 3)
Small Hydraulic Part (1)

12 of the Warbots yielded a single part in addition to the items above (6 E, 5T, 1L - seems like the chance of getting the different parts is the wrong way around, surely the L parts should be more common?)

5 of the Warbots yielded a level 3 implant, though never in addition to a tech part

7 of the Warbots yielded "large" Junk - either a Large Hydraulic Part, Reactor or OS Board.

Around half of the Warbots had a single component in addition to the Processor, Cables and Hydraulic Parts.. usually a medium level armour part or vehicle part.

Observation: IMHO, the drop rate for level 3 implants and tech parts is fine (on warbots, at least) but the chance of getting large junk needs to be increased a bit.

My question is, is the loot "pool" a limited, refreshing pool or an unlimited completely random generation of items? Becuase it seems that after a while of hunting in one sector that the loot begins to get worse and worse. What I mean is, I was hunting warbots in a sector that not too many ppl travel through. I was getting alot of techs and level implants. Then as time goes on, tech no longer appear, then implants, and then im lucking to get large hydraulic parts, hardware os's, or the like. Lately at my rank of 36/42, I get mostly small hydraulic parts and cables. I occasionally get weapon mod parts, weapon parts, or implant parts. I RARELY get implant level 3s or anything of that like. I almost never get a tech.

I think there is something more messed up with the loot calculation on the higher mobs. Cause when i use my lower level rifle spy, rank 12/16. If i kill any aggressor, agressor captain, or launcher cyclops. I ALWAYS get the max loot possible and the highest value loot is dropped in it. It just seems to be happening to those mobs above the rank of 50.

Possibly related, but not actual mob loot so remove this post if not needed, but before the patch, in boxes etc, you used to get 2 random spawn items, well, you now get 3 but its nearly always a part #1-3, and 2 drinks. Not even stuff like wood, pipes etc appear, makin it kinda hard for noobs to get the junk needed to recycle those armours and noob weapons.
