What was your first ever that you can remember, computer.

Mine was i think a Intellivision, kinda a console thing, cartridge idea, with disc controllers and buttons like a telephone on the front, had a kick ass driving game, and the footy game was litterally "bong, bong" around the edges

After that i had a commador 64, spectrum 48 ZX, tehn my old Amiga 500 and then my first PC was a 386sx, it had a turbo button to go from 25mhz to 33mhz, i was impressed

Whats your first computer then?

Spectrum ZX80 128k thingy.
Batman The Movie was the game I first played on it.

Q is up, S is down, L is right, K is left. Space shoots thingy's and Space+Direction shoots your bat cord thingy. Yep, I still remember the keys.
I completed the game too, and it wasn't easy.

Oh, and Atari > Amiga.
Nuff said.

that was a cool game, driving the bat mobile was great fun, using the hook on the posts to get around corners, i remember completing it too, killing the joker at the end before he got away in his heli :p

Classic.

Well lets see.. I'm old enough to remember the classic "pong" game - it had pong - that was it. Never had an Atari 2600 although my uncle did.. my first real computer was a ZX81, followed by a Mattel Aquarius, then I think a Vic20, Acorn Electron, Amiga A500, Amiga 1500, Amiga A1200 (which I still have). While I had the A1200 got into PC's, starting with an Olivetti PCS286S (still got it in a loft somewhere) then built a 486SX25, a 486DX4-100, then the first Pentium was a P133 (still got it). Around this time I aquired about 5 ZX spectrums, and two BBC Micro Model B's, a chassis of a BBC Master Compact (remember those?) and two old IBM XT's. I also found an old Commodore Plus 4 After that was a PIII 450 (now my network firewall / file server) and the P4 1.9GHz which is my main PC for NC :). I also use an Apple PowerBook (Alu) G4, and just ordered a dual 2.5GHz PowerMac G5. Oh yes - I also have an old Solaris SPARC box somewhere, along with a Psion 5MX organizer and a Toshiba PocketPC. Had several Palms but sold them on.l

At work I have around 40 servers, ~1600+Windows machines along with ~200 Macs.

Obsessed me? Nah.

Blimey - I remember when my primary school got "The Computer" - a BBC B - I was allowed to "see" it unpacked on the Headmistress's desk (not plugged in) as I was er.. "interested" in computers.

Good grief I feel old.

my very first computer was the Sinclair zx81... eventually I purchased the 16k expansion... Next one was the timex-sinclair 2068 (every time I got more than 150 lines of code in it would crash... exchanged the first one for another and it did the same thing)... after that a vic-20.... then a commodore 64 (killer graphics for the time especially compared to the ibm graphics of that era)... after a burglary used the insurance to buy my first ibm (4 mhz but with a turbo mode {7mhz I think}

first game.... can't remember the name any more... something like wizards isle (for the zx81)....

bitmap brothers I do indeed remember... anyone remeber Phreakers fortress, afterburner or mr dews castle (old bbs's of dubious nature that provided me with much of my old commodore softs)?

Atari 2000, the first ever mainstream readily available home 'console' to my knowledge.

My favourite game of all time on it, was Dig Dug. What a great game.

The first one I owned, was the ole amstrad CPC 464, then it was the Amiga after that.

Amiga > Atari

(Actually, I liked them both, but seeing as I owned an Amiga and never an Atari, I have to stand on my side of the fence for that old war :D )

First computer was Amstrad CPC 464, colour monitor(most ppl had the green one lol)

Games on it jeez there were tons like all the dizzy series, Trap Door(old school), tons of others as well I also had the light gun for it probably one of the first i guess.

Alas the Amstrad gave up the ghost quite a few years ago otherwise I would dust it off now and again...maybe if i find the space I will buy one off ebay :D

Ah...the memories :)
