kk's add agency has some serious issues

the new(not really) DoY logo:

i don't know whether this was made by the same people, a different agency, or even kk themselves. but...

kk you seriously need a new add agency, one with some originality and flair, the new logo needs to be original, and needs to define the game, not be a rip off of another, more well-known logo, because that's crap :\.

Hrm.. never noticed the HL and NC logos were so similar.

But then again.. the colours in the latter are completely different.

Not so in the case of the new DoY logo.
Just the colour scheme of black and white along reminds me of star wars.. as well as the rounded "border" metallic...

font is different . . and you can't really compare that cause how many logos actually throw a letter or something within a circle. It's countless ..lol.

not the text that comes with the logo, just look at the logo's themselves (only the actual nc logo (and doy logo), "star wars" (ignore the bounty hunter part, and the half-life lambda, not the "hafl-life" text) those aspects are pretty damn similar

i agree with amfest, the letter inside a circle has been done countless times before and its not like half life was the first to use it...,now if it were the same font color and other effects it would be a different case

Yeah it is quite odd the logo ideas seem to have run out....

but i must say that i really like the one in my sig by NS_CHROME54 its really nice :p

Yea . . .ideas are boring these days cause everyone tries to use the same ones . .but if it was as was said the same font and such then we'd have to say .. wait a minute . .copy!! . .

The problem with the logo in your sig Tratos is it's not very scaleable or portable. It looks great when it's done like that, but try integrating it into manuals, textures, neochronicle, anywhere really...it'd be a nightmare.

It's an awesome logo though, much nicer than the SW:BDoY one.

never even thought or knew about the hf / nc logo being the same.. only now you say it and put them next together it shows.. so it aint realy using a more well known logo if nobody notices it :/

Thats not really true. The one in the sig is the Logo to catch your attention. But the DOY outline and the old neocron logo can stil be used in all ways possible. I think the old logo is the one to stick to for manuals and stuff. But thats just someething a good agency would think about.

These were made to show the plain logo, but as mentioned, this was just a sketch and would need more work.

lol i noticed the huge similarity between the Neocron logo and the Half-Life logo when i first saw a poster/ad for the game ... a long time before i started playing it. I think a certain site were actually slagging the game off because of it.
