The travestities continue!

Oh, sure, its nice you can turn the tail gun on a trike, and actually look around in the combat car... But thats about it!


You still can't aim the grenades worth PISS! FFS! The firing arc and direction is still bolted down, and worse, every shot damages everyone IN the damn car without even hitting target, even when car is DIRECTLY POINTED AT TARGET AND TAKES INTO ACCOUNT RANGE FROM PREVIOUS TEST-FIRES!

FFS! It in no way WORKS! Just unbolt the damn grenade mechanism and let gunner fire at will, choosing arc and direction! FFS!


And moreover... WHY is the scout trike still vhc 73?! It's just a better-armored 2 seat combat chainbike! Lower it to require vhc 45, PLEASE!

Oh, and don't get me started on that one-seat no-gun scout glider... 88 vhc, my ass. For something unarmed, let's see it at about 60-70 vhc!


Come on everyone, take the fight to KK! THey'd better fix vhcs before BDoY or it won't be worth a damn and we'll all just be standing around staring at eye-candy! Rate this and add complaints about vecs! Yes, even vec color options are valid!

I agree with fixing the vehicle weaponary. They could all use some extra range, or the driver's toast to drones and snipers. And the HH Hari-kari Wheeler is still hilariously bad. The damage is top-notch. It's just WHO it damages that's the problem. Make it like an artillery weapon, not direct fire. Makes it an interesting addition to op wars.

But I disagree with lowering vehicle requirements. I think it's time for VHC to be treated like rifles, pistols, and heavy weapons. For the big bastards, especially flying vehicles, you should have to call in a specialist. One-man vehicles with no attack or flying ability should still remain at around 20-40 VHC tops.

I have to KINDA agree... the 14 and 18 combat ranks on combat chainbike/trike tail gun and combat hoverbike, respectively, does act against you when you're hunting in a team with other runners at 40 and 50 combat ranks...

But for leveling noobs that just got to being able to use these vecs... its a Crahnsend.

Maybe make combat ranks on combat vehicles related to the damage % one gets on them, so someone that just leveled to 35 h-c gets the 14 combatrank on the combat chainbike, but someone who's at 110 h-c gets like 40 combat rank on the same vehicle. This would be a boon to people leveling on combat vehicles, too... Although it might make gentanks four-stars when they cap the Rhino.... hmm.

Mumblyfish, you just said what I said - the scout trike, that thing with only the tail gun ( a str 14 gun, may I add) has the same vhc req as the heavy scorpion trike. Why?

And the one-seat no-gun scout glider has a vhc req of 88. Now that's ridiculous. I know it's a sophisticated piece of hardware, but DAMN. And for no guns too! It seriously needs trimming to 60-70 vhc. Just above the apc/rhino vhc reqs sounds nice.

Heavyporker I"ll answer that one. Because it's the same vehicle without the driver with a rocket option. So since the driver doesn't have a gun shooting option .. it doesn't require *gasp* HC and Str to drive. Lowering the Vehicle driving req wouldn't make sense to have the heavy assult version so high. Anyhow I believe that version's back gun shoudl be different like a raygun style gun or fusion. Would make it a bit more desirable to take out. But the vehicle "driving" req shoudlnt' be adjusted since it's the same vehicle just with a driver weapon mount or not. Think of a two vehicles exactly the same except one has a cd player in it and one doesn't .. they both have the same driving feel :p

err while we're gathering momentum for a general vehicle rant here...

kk could you please do something about the damn hovertechs. am i supposed to pay about 100k on a hovertech and have it look like it barely made it out of a battle between the terminators and human resistance?
the damn hover is full of blotches and scratches dammit !!
surely asg can sell a hover that looks good. hell, even the speederbike (which almost looks good) and the wheeler (gay as a pride parade) aren't scuffed and looking like shit.

i really dont mind even paying for a spraypaint job. i feel embarassed driving the damn thing about, i only use it because its the fastest mode of transport.

Considering that the combat versions get more armor, that's something i'd tolerate.


Make scout trike need only 45 vhc to drive! And note this - this is still higher vhc than a damn jeep!!!!

For the love of all that's holy and sacred, please make it so any vehciles that have wheels or treads have traction. Driving up a hill only to slowly lose speed, stop, and then slide down like you have tires made of vaseline is horrifically silly and frustrating.

And yes, I'd kill for the Scorp Trike to be able to aim the rockets better, instead, of it just being straight ahead of you. The aim arc doesn't have to be that huge, but it has to be a lot more than it is now.

And note this - this is still higher vhc than a damn jeep!!!!What i'm saying it's the same vehicle except for the driver not being able to fire rockets. . so it doens't need the str hc req for the driver to gun since there is no driver weapon BUT it's the same damn vehicle . . thus requiring the same vhc INT to drive .. . The thing that SHOULD be changed about ther regualr next trike is that the backgun should be more powerful on the back to warrent actual use . . . as i suggest a laser weapon or some type of energy weapon. It should be slightly faster. That's my only gripes about it.

I use them. And I've seen others use them. I've also seen people get to Op wars in apcs and all sorts of vehicles. Either spec and drive or don't and run .. you make the choice. If you feel you'll be gimped and don't have enough skill to compesate for that then run and run and run ;)

Vehicles are being used at op wars. And they can be extremely effective.
The thing is when people take vehicles, they don't take enough of them.
Just imagine the sheer horror as the defenders try to stop the assault at the front gate as three rhino's crash through the back entrance :-)

And it's not just the rhino's, two revelers can take out a ppu in just seconds.
