BigBen claim to have published DAoC and Shrouded islands in europe, yet on the box of DAoC and SI, it says its published by wanadoo, wanadoo being the new name for freeserve as its parent company.
So are BigBen a division of wanadoo? :confused:

Ive looked everywhere and there is no mention of BigBen publishing any of the games theyve mentioned.
Strange isnt the word!
oh god, if it is Wanadoo, may this game rest in peace, as a Wanadoo customer i cant say im happy with what they do, lukily for me my internet hasnt been fucked over by there new usage caps as im still within the 12month contract from freeserve, heh.

Bergheim, Mai 2004. Das von Spieleproducer 10tacel studios entwickelte Massive-Multiplayer-Online-Rollenspiel Neocron – Beyond Dome of York erscheint in Deutschland über Bigben Interactive. Mit Vergabe des PC-Titels unterstreichen beide Unternehmen den Ausbau ihrer Zusammenarbeit.
Neocron – Beyond Dome of York besetzt durch sein einfallsreiches Konzept eine Marktnische im Sektor Online-Games. Das Cyberpunk-MMORPG bietet als futuristisches Rollenspiel mit Shooter-Elementen den Online-Spielern eine virtuelle Heimat, die sich weder im Fantasy-Ambiente noch im reinen Action-Umfeld zu Hause fühlen. Then why is wanadoo the publisher for DAOC and SI, on the bottom of the case in large letters.
it DID publish them both!
um strange.. but not good see . Wanadoo used to be freeserve and any thing with the word FREE in it Is bad .here some examples:
FREEPorn um well nope u get some 3rd party downlaod Big bill shit
FREE Wheel balancing well ul get roped in and get new axle or some expensive shit
FREE CS well its just crap mostlikly broken to 0/0
FREE Holidays wel gotta go join some group of some shit and pay cash then eventualy get this "free" holiday yeah right u mostlily paid for it in your subsriptions ect.........

Different sections of the world got different publishers. As to how they sectioned everything off... We'll never know. (DAoC had 3 different North American publishers :p use that to figure how they segmented everyplace else.)
We had a dialup cd from wanadoo once....
it worked...
BigBen is definitely a real publisher, I have a bunch of games with a BigBen logo on it, as well as a BigBen link cable for my GBA.
Also, don't forget, names may have changed in that time. For example, BigBen might once upon a time have been called Wanadoo, but is now called BigBen.
yeah my daoc +SI disc also says:
"Published and Distributed by Wanadoo"

Totally agree :mad: when i found out about the usage caps i went through the roof but luckily im still in my Freeserve contract too :D
Try fairbroadband.com if you need a new provider when Wanadoo take over your subs cos i sure as hell aint gonna hang around with them.

Personally ive never had a problem with wanadoo, im currently using there broadband, great service, and great pings.
Im just finding it a little odd. Well, wonder what KK has to say? 8|
Wannado is that French telco or something that bought out Freeserve a few years back, but only just took over the BB side, and renamed it Wannado. Personally, I'm happy with Force9, and as soon as my years up with them, I'm switchin to their 1MB plan :p
