so it is not the servers, check your firewalls, thats the biggest thing if you can not get to the log in screen

I am getting out and past my ISP and everything. I was fine yesterday and I haven't touched any settings in my router here at home. There has been multiple persons this morning. Do a tracert to 62.140.29.54 and see where yours stops.

KK are not your isp, everyone else can connect properly so it is your isp/telephone exchange somewhere.

So....What i'm trying to say is, it's not kk's fault that your isp/exchange/piece of string got borked.

i suggest, unplug your modem, your router and reboot them both, once they are back online turn on your computer, in router settings DMZ your comp

Not blaming KK for fault of no connection. It seems that multiple people are having the same problem and was trying to get some input from others. Have rebooted router twice. Going to try and shut everything down and do a cold restart of everything.

Well, did the whole thing! I shut down computer, Unplugged modem and router for a minute. Plugged them back in, logged in, DMZ's computer...no joy. Hmmm... I guess i will call my provider and give them my tracert results and maybe they can do something. My last good hop is to 68.232.16.241, then I lose it.

Ok..

Everyone that knows how to do a traceroute, traceroute to the login server ip.

Write down the last address before it "times out"

Now...if you have an ISP that you can get ahold of quickly without waiting an
hour on the line like Cox or AT&T , tell them you cannot get to the Server IP
and that IP is the last one you reach before the timeouts occur.

They'll be able to fix it from there.

The more people that do this? The faster we get to play again!!

Yup sounds like a routing problem for all you guys...I sorta had this problem once where after it hit a certain router my ping would go to pot.

I'm trying to connect from Utah and can't connect today either.

Funny thing is I can ping out (not to the server, but to other IPs), but can't tracert. I think my ISP is blocking tracert, which is weird since I thought tracert was just a ping with a short time to live. Maybe they are blocking the reply.

Anyway, I hope which ever router is messed up gets a little percussive maintenance. :mad: I don't think its kk's router, just something some of us in the US go through to get there.

I am on Adelphia in Maine. It looks like a problem on a DNS router for us here. Not sure at where the problem lies though because I can go everywhere else on the internet, but just not to 62.140.29.54! Nor the test server!

judging from the traceroute level 3 has lost a router. I hope KK is getting some money back for the lack of services. Comcast.net's border routers still can't find a route into 12.244.73.142 which to me says that Level 3's routers still aren't publishing a route at this time.

Go figure that the one weekend in the past 6 that I feel like playing, the game is unavailable.

How many of us that can't get on are using Comcast? My friend (who started the thread) and I couldn't connect last night and can't connect today. For those that are curious, no we are not stupid, we know how to check firewalls and modems and so forth. When we say we can't connect, it's not the saturn, jupiter, etc servers we can't connect to, we can't even get past the damn launcher itself.

But my friend and I are good to go now, he rerouted our connections through his work :D

Odin when can we expect an official statement regarding the service outage? Your servers may be up and running but the network that routes into them is not working right.

Someone is not getting what they paid for here. Given that I can reach virtually anything else on the internet that I try to, it seems like a problem on your end, or your ISP's end.

Well thats true, the only thing i'm having problem with , everything else is fine, but I dont visit anything base out of germany other than neocron, so that could be part of the reason, but then again, why is the route corupted only to that section related to the german servers?

Also I as well been waiting to see least something on even neocron's product news page, to even regard that US/CA users might be having problems getting on game, but it would almost seem like public statement, is fend for yourself.

The servers are run from Hamburg germany. And that is an huge freaken server farm. There is one server here in the US that is called Neptune and it was only used during beta. Now that server is on "On Call" status in case more people show up. And they use an Level 3 Comm for thier services on the servers. Did up some resser in the past hour just outta bordom.
