Hey,

Could someone please post a HIGH-RESS screenshot of the HUD as it was in the old beta?
I am going to recreate the old HUD for people who liked it more :)

Goodnight guys,

I'd would be a lot better if I could get my hands on an old beta version download so I could actually use those images.

Runners, moderators, would anyone have an old gfx.pak for me? Or a mirror to an old beta?

I don't know which beta had this HUD, I know in BETA4 it was the normal one though.

Thanks!

It has no use to try to rebuild the old beta HUD, not only because it doesn't fit 1 to 1 on the existing HUD, but also like every self respecting neocron fan knows of the DoY peeks, there will be a totally reworked and new HUD with DoY. The design of the new HUD is completely different, the information is displayed differently and at different locations.

Nice incentive, but as clearly proven, a waste of your time

Kind Regards,

Well, to bad I only read your message after an hour of a waste of work.

Even though I created it as beautiful as this:

http://194.109.220.50:21000/rpos1a.bmp

It came out very bad:

Hey,

I have a nother question, below is the original rpos1.bmp:
http://194.109.220.50:21000/rpos1.bmp

Now, I can see that this is not fully the image which is used as the source of the HUD.

Why, you ask? Because this RPOS lists "damage" and "build" in its menu.
My question then would be, where is the source this menu (F1 to F9)

Is this hidden too? errrr?

If you want to fix it a bit, any images of which the name ends with an a in Neocron is actually used to get the alpha. Or in other words, it's transparancy.

So a basic way of making one of these alpha images is taking the original image and taking all parts it should show, and recolor them in a pure white colour.

Check it out how it looks, then change the transparency to fix any problems which might occur (For example, maps not showing up, etc.)

Also, as the RPOS was updated after the release of retail, the location of the latest version of the files you need are in gfx\rpos\ , you'll need to still unpak them though, which I can't really help with. The latest version are not included anymore with gfx.pak

some time back the RPOS-Menu shown went to *erm* dynamic show the keys that are assigned to it, i think it is since then, this menu isnt derived any longer from the *BMP.

stumbled over this too when i made my PPU - red cross skin.

Shujin made a replacement RPOS in the theme of Fallout, if I recall correctly. Ask him how he does it.
